They wouldn't have to re-choreograph the show and the dancers sign a contract for Live Nation, not Richy. Gaga is free to use that choreo for the rest of her career if she wishes. It's also a myth that he cannot be fired during a tour. No contract says you can't be fired for misconduct or abusive behavior He hasn't been fired because Gaga doesn't want to, or she doesn't want to yet.

Choreography in the way he's done it, set routines with an artistic intent, is intellectual property/protected dramatic work and belongs to the creator ie. Squirrel. Unless they pay to license his work, buy him out the rights fully, or his contract is set up so that the rights aren't retained by him, he could slap them with a lawsuit for using his choreography while removing him from the artistic team.

Not how legal contracts work

 

IP is often assigned in a clause to the employer from the employee.

 

Also gross misconduct etc of employees often frees voids contracts/allows the employer to rescind the contract and obligations.

Just seen this post and yeah - literally every good contract has the third option built in as a standard clause. In the course of employment all IP belongs to the employer if its within ordinary contemplation of that employee's duty/role.

So I went line by line in the poem interlude trying to interpret it. I'd love to hear what you all think, including if you think I'm way off lol

The specifics of what Richy could do would really depend on the contract that he has signed which none of us can see, but I would be very surprised if he demanded that his choreo cannot be used by Gaga in the future without him. That would be highly unusual in the industry, and in the vast majority of cases the rights to choreography are licensed to the artist it was intended for, that's just standard practice in the industry. So it would be very unlikely that Richy would have any legal standing on that.
