I literally called it a bop, what's with the randomly weird defensive energy? There's a clear visual and sonic throughline between Gaga's signature and BP, but given Miley has professed her love for Gaga multiple times in the past and how Gaga's artistry serves as a strong blueprint for artists attempting anything with an edge, it makes sense. Stans and non-stans are noticing it. Publications have noted it. None of these comparisons are being done in a Madonna stan'd "reductive" way, in fact we celebrate Gaga's wide influence. So what's wrong with pointing out the obvious? Since we are in this base, I can also flip this around and say you have some unattainable high bar for Gaga yet find this incredible, which is fine, but not everyone will share the same opinion as yours.

And great music Jk I think it's a decent bop but I'm always amazed at how often the phrase "Gaga-coded" and its variations are used as shorthand in the modern pop landscape critique. Speaks to how strong Gar's sonic and artistic signature is that anything in the electropop sphere is immediately associated with her. Same with her iconography and visuals too.

So you can post some delusional BS shading Gaga's (and Bruno's) vocal abilities (the nerve ) to prop up Katy Perry's inexistent vocalist credentials but I can't point out how one of the most widely mocked contemporary pop singers doesn't have the chops required to pull off such a vocally challenging song? True, she will stick to releasing critically panned garbage like 143 forever instead. OT: The poll is correct, it would be a mega BOMB.
