Why did Gaga reuse Cochalla set??
When Gaga said she wasn't planning touring this year, I honestly think she wasn't lying. It's obvious to me she spent a ton of time and effort into planning for Coachella and that she/her team/michael probably figured they may as well take that particular show on the road since they already had it ready to go, and since it was a later decision, all that was available were arenas. im fairly certain stadium dates are coming in 2026.

"Abracadabra" surpasses "BREAK MY SOUL" on Spotify, is "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" next?
YALL will cry racism about anything. Same old sob stories without ever acknowledging that beyonce has an advantage in source material and markets off of actual oppression while using white songwriters and collaborating with/covering white artists songs and wearing shirts that say "natives are enemies to peace" Lame ass fans, lame ass singer, always always always victims.

So was she a champion of black females or was she not allowed to sing about race? I'm hearing two conflicting things. Get the story straight hive

Beyonce does. No one is forcing her to have her writing camp make this kind of music for 10+ years. A trilogy of albums in the 2020s about race when she's been a successful millionaire since the 90s.

Do you understand that ANY particular group regardless of race, haircolor or gender can have a particular advantage or socially-accepted behavior that some people from outside that group can't or don't have? For example, I am 6'4". I have tall privilege. I can make an album about being tall that a 5'2" cannot. can gaga, Katy, or Adele make an album about race in America? no. THAT is why it's beyonce's content privilege, as its something a white artist cannot write or release music about and have the same critical or commercial success doing. Wouldn't expect the lowest-educated fanbase to grasp this.

Here are tears and fumes! Beyonce waited 15+ years to sing about black experiences and she first did it by leaning into an already-happening social movement (BLM) - so risky!

First and only #1 song to ever include "transgender" in the lyrics. That's textbook groundbreaking. born this way was and continues to be a higher-stakes release than anything beyonce has EVER released and that's the absolute tea.

The way yall will NEVER give an actual, thoughtful response or rebuttal. does beyonce or does beyonce not heavily lean into race-related content? Yes or no? can white artists do this in the same way and have the same outcome? yes or no? do critics typically cite Beyoncé's lyrical exploration or race in America as a reason why her works are well-made? yes or no? why is this such a difficult conversation for yall?

Okay and? Born this way IS an important groundbreaking album. I never said Gaga or any other girl didn't also lean into their "niche" in order "push boundaries" and she didn't pretend to be gay.

That's fine, I'm not editing a thing. I have no qualms about stating what no one else will. heres the definition of privilege by the way. "a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group." Per this definition, can gaga sing about race? She can. But would it be received in the same way as a white person? there's no denying that Beyoncé's critical adoration comes from largely from centering her brand around race. Despite releasing "formation" a decade ago, she's now releasing a trilogy of albums allegedly reclaiming black genres. Can she still push boundaries if she releases any album that isn't about the black experience? Maybe. Haven't seen it yet. That is inarguably a content -privilege that only black artists have. That doesn't negate a history of oppression, since I know you and everyone else in the hive will jump on that.
