Kim Petras - 'Detour' | Rare N' Deluxe Announced!
but we need it on spotify

Tinashe - "I'd Rather Be Alone"
well in this one it made a lot of sense because it's a sex banger! and the squeaks are used in such a clever way on Ooh La La but a dramatic ballad about a relationship not working out with squeaks in the background...? made me not take the song as seriously tbh

Melanie Martinez - 'ELYSIUM'
Absolutely, I agree with a lot of this post. The fact that these songs address subjects that are barely ever touched in pop music already makes it one of the most interesting projects of the year regardless of the execution. I will say though, that I feel sometimes the writing on this album is a little underrated. It has its intentionally cringe moments like THE VATICAN and MONOPOLY MAN, which aren't supposed to be taken seriously, and then some songs that try to be serious but end up having 1 or 2 bad one liners like BATSHIT INTELLIGENCE. But then there's a few songs in here with what I consider beautiful writing; GARBAGE, THE PLAGUE, GUTTER and HELL'S FRONT PORCH are all very well written. And we have to take into consideration that this is pop music and not a newspaper article; she has to make these lines fit into a rhythmic structure, she has to be relatively shallow on some of these topics because this format doesn't allow her to fully express what she wants About ELYSIUM I'm not worried at all. I appreciate the effort Melanie made when making this album but the OG 2021 PORTALS sessions tell me she's even better when she's relaxed not having to solve world issues with her songs. I'm sure it will have some cringe moments like every other album of hers, but also a lot of gorgeous songs

Slayyyter - "CRANK 2"
I'd be mad as hell if all of them but two(!!!!) got one get in the booth cathy I wanted parallelism, symmetry, having the same exact tracklist as WGIA but backwards
-
Troye Sivan - "Broadway"
I'll wait for the full song to judge because what
-
Slayyyter - "CRANK 2"
This idea had never even crossed my mind but I hope every track on WGIA gets its counterpart hell even the interlude got one
-
Tinashe - "I'd Rather Be Alone"
I wish I liked the chorus as much as the verses also what's with the bed squeaks lol unpopular opinion but she made the right choice; pillow fight is the better song
-
Tinashe - 'Popstar'
the city variant is my favorite by far because it's the one cover that fits all the songs we've heard so far
-
Tinashe - "Pillow Fight"
same thing happened to me. the video is gorgeous but I liked the song a lot more on my second listen when it was just the audio
-
Tinashe - "Pillow Fight"
what a great song lol the chorus is amazing. if ariana or adela released this it would be an instant hit
-
Carly Rae Jepsen - 'Day and Night'
did we ever find out if any other Curiosity EP songs were reworked for the Kiss album? I'd love to hear an electropop take on Just a Step Away
-
Carly Rae Jepsen - 'Day and Night'
yeah I see why it's so tricky. perhaps there could be polls prior to the actual voting deciding which versions should be included in the rate. I think the songs could be uploaded on youtube? i've seen a lot of her unreleaseds on there

Kim Petras - 'Detour' | Rare N' Deluxe Announced!
if she's doing festivals next year, I think an EP with the remaining pretour songs, hit list, love u more and pop addict would be a nice release until the next album in 2028

ROSÉ - "new trick"
it's kind of crazy that vampirehollie was never released officially when it washes the entire album minus toxic
