Yeah I understand, I would totally prefer it to be like that, and I have to admit that after many efforts and rule changes to make the Hot 100 more accurate and truly reflect the most popular songs in the country, the recurrent rule felt like a step backwards. Though I understand Billboard's logic behind it and we could find a common ground where we keep the rule but make it considerably less severe .
  7. They should still have it but drop the position where songs become recurrent to like 70, that way the lower regions won't be full of 2 year old songs bit hits won't be 41-49-OUT on the charts .
