  1. Realistically, nothing or maybe some lip gloss and her phone. I imagine most celebrities have a personal assistant nearby with the real purse and necessary belongings.
  2. Literally yes Historically (and still today) there has been a ton of overlap between lesbians and trans men. Plus I would argue that pretty much all openly LGBTQ people have experienced, to some degree, the process of discovering themselves and coming out. There are so many shared experiences involving self-love/self-worth, shame vs pride, introspection, etc. that most LGBTQ people begin grappling with during their formative years, which straight people will never experience quite the same way. I personally feel a lot of connection and empathy for all types of LGBTQ people in general.
  3. The Red vault songs made the entire re-recordings project worth it. They're the best group by a landslide, and I'm so grateful for all of them. She was ******* on fire when she first wrote and recorded Red ugh The others have one or two memorable vault songs, but it's obvious why the rest were not included on the OG releases The re-recorded Red tracks are not good though, especially the botched Max Martin songs.
  4. Not saying this applies to Ariana (clearly I don't know her), but just saying: an obsession with eating "extremely healthy" to the detriment of your health/body can also be a form of ED. It's called orthorexia. No clue what your aunt's credentials are, but just because some is a nutritionist does not mean they are healthy. Opinions and scientific consensus on nutrition seem to change all the time, and lots of people have conflicting ideas of what constitutes a healthy diet. Unfortunately I know several women IRL who eat alarmingly small servings of very restrictive groups of "healthy foods" because they are stuck in this type of mindset, and they are literally frail, not healthy. Eating "extremely healthy" should actually focus on building or at least maintaining bone and muscle mass, which are among the most important factors in long term health and aging.
  5. This. There's a lot of awful and hateful rhetoric directed at her right now, but I also see a lot of her true fans being genuinely concerned — with good reason. I hope she will take some time to get help or get healthy rather than just taking time out of the spotlight because of online backlash.
  6. Yeah, it's insane if people actually pay that much She will 100% do some sort of 10-year anniversary celebration with vault tracks + vinyl variants galore. No way she misses out on the sales opportunity.
  7. I think that was more rooted in body shaming though. In retrospect, Taylor was clearly unhealthily thin during the 1989 era, but no one was really framing it that way at the time. With Ariana, I think a lot of people are genuinely concerned. Her fans are mostly coming from a place of love, not hate. But it does seem like the people around her don't care enough. If I were clearly suffering and going through some sort mental health crisis or addiction — which I think think extreme starvation can definitely be compared to — I would hope that the people around me would care enough to pull me out of the public eye and get me help.
  8. TTPD and Solar Power were the most surprising to me. It seemed like Taylor was an unstoppable critics' darling until then (plus I genuinely love TTPD). I also would've never expected Melodrama's follow-up to be anything but super acclaimed. Solar Power is definitely a weaker record than I hoped for, but I do think it could be a few points higher.
  9. Trimmed! It's more aesthetic and (for guys who are built) distracts from the muscles less. Rule of thumb: put your arms down at your side and check if hair is sticking out. If it is, you should trim.
  10. Exactly! DMF is like a dog that will still come back even after you yell at it.
  11. I think it's moreso that DMF's existence as a living, breathing meme/court jester/laughingstock is funny. People like that are what keep forums interesting and old school compared to Reddit, Twitter, etc
  12. I got Björk I'm gonna live forever!
  13. I can't believe there are people in this thread speaking ill on Get Me Bodied. It's one of her best bops (original + extended version), wtf
  14. This is true for some stars and artists, especially in the post-WWII era of "American Dream," "pull yourself up by your bootstraps," etc. idealism. But if you look at the overall history of art, literature, and music, many (many) important and influential artists could be called "nepo babies" or at least came from wealthy families. The difference is that they used their resources to spend years upon years honing their crafts, studying under other great artists, and innovating in their fields. The current wave of nepo babies is infested with singers and actors of questionable talent and skill levels who hire more talented people to think and create middling content for them, without putting in any of the hard work it takes to be a truly great artist.
