I think she can definitely win a GF Grammy in the future, but under the right circumstances. She just hasn't been the top dog in any GF yet. DWAS in SOTY was probably close but Not Like Us had a narrative: it directly addressed his beef with Drake. Abracadabra was a ROTY contender but certainly not commercially successful enough in the US to win. Most winners here are #1 smashes. MAYHEM probably was #2 behind DTMF though. BB had a much stronger narrative though being the first album in Spanish to win. She just needs the perfect storm of success/acclaim/narrative and a non-competitive year. Kendrick & Bad Bunny (along with Billie) are some of the toughest competitors in the industry.

Yes if anything she's just warming up. She's been on an artistic resurgence since Chromatica Ball back in 2022 so it's only up from here.

Abracadabra is a new song that placed #33 on Billboard 200 Global Year End. Katy has no entries since the chart was created in 2020 MAYHEM placed at #9 on IFPI 2025. Katy's last album entry was in 2013. None of Katy's post-2013 material has had the success Gaga recently saw.

What do we think is the best version of MAYHEM: A. Standard 14 track version B. 17 track version w all three bonus tracks C. Her website vinyl version with 15 tracks (w CSTH) D. 15 track target version with KFL Personally I'm between A & C. I don't think TDD has a place on MAYHEM when Zombieboy does that spooky funk sound better. KFL is also good but not essential in my opinion. Now adding CSTH kind of does balance out the funkier & rockish sounds of the album and gives the front half of the album a darker/edgier feel. But also it doesn't contribute much lyrically.

Imagine seeing this 10 years ago when Gaga was struggling on streaming and had less than 10m monthly listeners. She's came a long way. She bagged one of the biggest hits of the century

Disease, LoveDrug, GOE, VIY & DCT are the 5 Mayhem songs I still replay the most. They never seem to get old.

Just throwing it out there: We already know Gaga said she's open to the possibility of Act II but it won't be as simple as putting all the ARTPOP demos onto an album & calling it a day. My idea is that she makes a 5-7 track collab EP with fresh electronic artists/DJs like Fred Again, John Summit, Kaytranada & Frost Children. It can be a response to ARTPOP in the sense that it has the same dance electronic rave-type energy and shows that she can still tap into this style now. I think it could be met with a very good reception. It can help her cross over with new niches in the dance electronic market while claiming her title as the true dance electronic queen. & she won't have to fully commit to an LP/album cycle.

7.8 is kind of a lame score. I disagree that the album is frontloaded. They left out so many strong points in the 2nd half. It's sitting at 80 on metacritic right now with 5 reviews. 76 on AOTY (both user/critics) & 3.61 on RYM. So it's still getting a good reception but not as good as Kick iii.

For mainstream pop music maybe but for electronic music it's been amazing. So many great projects.

I actually think this could be an excellent idea. Either him or Fred Again on their album (Fred's new mixtape is great). Gaga is already tapped into the dance/electronic scene a bit, but in a different demo than those two. It could work.
