  1. Because LWYMMD is everything that goes against the HAC standards/what they expect from Taylor Swift and it’s honestly a forgettable song and it would’ve tanked had it been done by any other artist, and this is coming from a casual fan Katy Perry is driven by the genius of Max Martin paired with Dr. Luke, so the moment that formula was destroyed so was her career
  2. She has the highest selling female album of all time, with 25 million copies sold outside the US (where it sold a further 15 million copies) . Pretty impressive for a “local” country act.
  3. So happy Shania is coming out on top lol
  4. Lose Yourself is the most recurrent song of the 2000s ever. It’s sold like 6.6 million digital copies and the #1 streamed song. Whew Eminem his power
  5. The Jason Mraz song? It’s a classic. It’s a cute bop that’s super catchy and feel-good
  6. I literally have been saying since day 1 the verses are almost carbon copies of SML
  7. Well clearly it didn’t matter. I don’t care, I think cultural appropriation is actually a regressive movement more than it is a progressive one, his music is catchy so he can steal from the Chinese or something next as long as he serves the bops
  8. Haha this is so true. I actually have sorta gotten into his style and music, his songs are catchier than most pop songs nowadays, but the fact he can get away with “cultural appropriation” because he’s a cheeky likable white guy is hilarious
  9. Tbh she’s a horrible songwriter and she really should’ve collaborated with more skillful professional people
  10. Bad and Boujee was literally a HUGE meme. Memes break songs nowadays it’s so strange
  11. bc he's the biggest male popstar since Michael Jackson and the song was the #1 song of 2016? A classique indeed Im kidding. it was a YT error
  12. Ummm maybe performing on flop daytime talkshows is dated but no song goes anywhere without promotion. 1.Servicing and payolaing a song on radio = promotion 2. making a viral meme for a song = promotion (it's literally all planned, it's not organic at all, it's an entire industry now) 3. Social media adverts = promotion 4. Some late night shows like SNL, Fallon, and Carpool Karaoke have proved to be good promo slots Most artists right now are just lazy and think that word of mouth thru a couple of tweets and some fake YouTube views are gonna send their songs to #1. The old generation of popstars would NEVER
  13. How on earth is 25 above 21 edit: Nvm it was an error. The Taylor Swift slayage tho
