I’ve decided to just forget that this album exists. Every time I try to revisit it, it just makes my blood boil with how offensively bad it is.

I haven’t seen them yet! They definitely represent the sound much better.

I’m hoping I warm up to the album. It’s not like I dislike it, I just am confused by it. Maybe the visuals will help sell her vision to me.

Anti Hero alone is a much stronger pop single than anything on Showgirl. Its hook was undeniably catchy.

I think the disappointment for me lies in the way this album was marketed. It was sold as having folklore storytelling with 1989 pop hooks, and it’s giving neither. Midnights has much stronger pop moments than what this album has to offer.

Poets was an amazing album.

She used to create such amazing pop melodies and hooks, and this album is completely devoid of them.

Honestly, where are the bops people keep talking about
