Why is Mariah bigger than Celine on Spotify?
celine career as a mainsteam act ended in 2002, she didn't have a hit since then and pretty much left the spotlight and focused on vegas, mariah chased legecy and recognition and had hits in 2003,2005,2008,2009. celine albums from 1996 and 1997 are actually doint pretty good on spotify

How many smash eras does your fave have?
i think it had a lot do with her expections, which were somewhat modest before ROL and probably explodad after it. while music didn't do as good- it still did amazing: music(song) was probably her biggest hit since vouge worldwide, she just wasn't suprised anymore coming off from a smash era. it also was a shorther era with 3 singles compared to 5 in ROL. it's still probably the third biggest era for a woman above 40(cher and tina each has one bigger era). but in ROL she had to create the momentom and in music she was riding with it.

Pink Friday vs Born This Way: Bigger in US?
to be fair it's pretty close, but nobody mention the massive BTW which breaks the ite in my opinion. while tours are usually not the biggest factor if the era is big i think since it's pretty tied it gives it an edge

Beyoncé seated with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner at Casino gala last night
like... for real here many of the MPG "opposing" trump is an act based on virtue signaling trying to pander to hollywood or their liberal fans. many of them just don't really care about politics at all and some maybe actually even support him privately. and no, this is not a big deal actually, she can do whatever she wants. however it does print her as pretty fake, i'm sorry

Which singers benefit the most from their pretty privilege?
alomst every pop girl, pretty much every one who is beautiful. im not saying it for a shade, it just really hard to be big if the crowd won't find you good looking, it exsist pretty much everywhere but in pop it's a much bigger and profound impact. smart pop girl will take advantage of it

Will Lady Gaga get another solo top 5 hit in her career?
good chance, people forget even stupid love which flopped reached top 5, even perferct illusion was top 15 and it was in her all time single point at her career but her appeal is not very us centric- she can always resort to being big in other places at the world, like madonna did in AM when the us blacklisted her. she is 40 soon and after 17-18 years smash singles are always good but not as important as cementing her legecy.

Was there ever real competition between Madonna and Michael Jackson?
people underestiamate micheal longevity. he already had 3 massive hit singles in 1971-2 and a no 1 in 1972, 12 years before madonna had any. he also a massive global era in 1979, 5 years before madonna first massive era he actually had 30 years between first and last top 10 in the us, which is longer than madonna 29 years. he was also in huge the band in the early 70's even eralier which somewhat counts even if not fully. he also dominated the 80 and early 90's on a bigger show than madonna. he was still huge about 1997 and pretty easily above madonna which realsed mid success(for ATG music tier) such as bedtime stories and evita. in 1998 and after madonna was bigger but let's not make things bigger than they were, and micheal already created massive gap before madonna even started and kept widening it micheal album from 2001 smaller than music but bigger than american life, and his 2000's greatest hits albums were selling better than madonna even before his deaths. i also think that his post death reaction was one of kind but i hope madonna will keep us from seeing how big her death impact will be

Bigger? (sales, streams, acclaim, tour gross, records, etc) Cowboy Carter VS. Mayhem
tbh, i just think touring is less about the era and more about the overall career, atleast at this stage of the career. a tour can make a big era bigger but not turning one into a massive smash alone. people are more likely to come to hear the past hits rather than new ones, generally. and yes, beyonce had a massive tour but it's not like gaga doesn't have the demend, we saw it in brazil and singapore. she could easily do dozens of stadiums around the world and she may well add some to the tour. she won't do as good but i don't think she will be THAT far in overall gross as some think, she tours more dates but lesser vanues so it kinda balances out in a sense.

Bigger? (sales, streams, acclaim, tour gross, records, etc) Cowboy Carter VS. Mayhem
gaga's album is clearly bigger. you may not like her decision to include smile but it is one of the biggest songs of the decede and bigger than anything beyonce released since the 2000's abra is also a pretty decent hit. texas did great at the start but fell of at a rapid pace after the album got released, it's a hit but not a giant one either, very good for a woman at her stage, though gaga has more pure sales and far more youtube and spotify seems(probably AM though), beyonce didn't put the effort to put on video clips but it's very improbable for this fact to change anything since her all post sasha videos are tanking there( LOT first with 57k youtube) tours are important but they only can break a a realtive tie, madonna had huge tours as far as the girlie show but nobody really claimed "erotica" or "american life" or "mdna" are some huge smashes because of it. nobody claims born this way is bigger than sasha because of a superior tour either. it can help if the margin is close but this is not the case. beyonce had a massive tour, and gaga will go great as well, even if not as good, and she had a massive copa cabana i find acclaim nowdays very overrated, poptism pretty much made it pretty easy to have an acclaimed record. but the main problem i have is just that i think television and press are really losing their cultaral relevance they once had. grammys for example had 17% rating in 2000 but 2% today, press numbers follow a similar pattern. social media is actually superior nowdays. they both had great acclaim, beyonce more but i don't think matters THAT much bigger singles, album sales and units> the rest

"Something Beautiful" is #102 in it's 2nd week on Billboard 200, worse than "143"
she is not just the kind of artist to consistantly smash, she used to have it during the hannah montana era but she became mostly a single artist after 2010. she has had many hits but most of her albums just tank, some actually bombed(can't be tamed got outsold by bionic, younger now no need to explain). she was so massive in 2006-9 album wise that she was already set for life by then though i hope she is feeling good and not taking it hard, but i feel like she has already passed the phase where she was taking it personly, she did more than almost every child would ever dream to achive

Whitney's last album deserved a longer singles run
pop radio was unlikely to support her singles at age 46. it bearly supported hung up with madonna being 47 and it being massive hit elsewhere however, she actually did really good with the album world wide, outselling e=mc worldwide and being not far from hard candy after 25 years of career was impressive, she even managed to get no 29 on the yec of 2009. it's just that she was a shadow of the woman that she once was, which overshadowed everything about that era

This Katy song is going viral. Does she need to go back to this sound for the GP?
i always found it underated. she really delivered there
-
Is Katy done for good?
no she is a legacy act now, still ammasing lots of streams and touring the world. coming back with huge new song doesn't seem likely but can not be ruled out(she still had big hits in 2017 and modarate one in 2019, artists like cher had bigger breaks and came back)

Gaga charts 8 songs on Spotify following Copacabana performance
hung up did tip the digital sales chart but it was still not a big thing back then(WBT being the song of the decede never topped this chart)
-
Katy's streams keep rising why?
she was a massive hit maker and most of the younger millennials and gen z grow under her hit machine, mine included. while she is not making new hits, she still has her massive legecy
