That's has very little to do with what I said or initially quoted. One Taylor Swift album (that's still top 40 in the US) falling off an international chart after almost a year isn't really representative of whether "it's always about debuts and first day numbers huh" in general, and really isn't a strong argument that she's "irrelevant." But like, you know that, obvi. Would you like to try again?

Nah, she came in a perfect time in the music industry where the internet constatly keeps your name out there + obviously the thing that helps the most in having that giantic loyal cultist fanbase she made a very good effort in properly building. She has currently put the GP with fatigue with her constant releases and even If I said it joking in other thread I really think she constatly flooding the Spotify charts everytime she release an album has made a lot people use the block artist function on Spotify which makes her music be avoided in passive forms that casual listeners use like playlists and algorithm recommendations

I can see her doing well enough among GP until her early 50s, and then after that just doing pretty good in the first few weeks but still way better numbers than her peers

Yes. Midnights, TTPD and especially TLOAS all had less longevity than the most recent studio albums by other female artists. Her "success" is frontloaded and inorganic, as IKIIKY has also so wonderfully highlighted.

Haven't heard of her at all here in my village in the Italian Alps. My neighbor, a 50-year-old woman, can name at least half a dozen Lady Gaga songs but she has no idea who Taylor Swift is. Globality DENIED.

Is she? Everytime I come on here there's like 5 different threads fuming over her about something stupid.

No artist listed by you has sold more overall units than her, no one has grossed more than her total on tour, no one has more Grammys than her, no one has more #1 hits or #1 albums in the US. None of them ever covered TIME as POTY. No one mentioned is a billionaire artist. No one has more social media followers.

What "most female artists" have albums with the success and longevity of Midnights, TTPD, and TLOAS .

Midnights just made Taylor the first artist in history to have 9 albums with 200 weeks. TTPD will get there next.

The next closest woman has 3 btw.
