"Opalite" departs the Spotify Global chart, what went wrong with Showgirl era
On OTH making so much sense I nearly liked a hate post.

"I Knew It, I Knew You" surpasses 100M streams on Spotify | Taylor's 272nd
Only 4 songs are projected to have more streams in the US this week and 2 are Ella and 1 is a July 4 song. Serving longevity!

"Opalite" departs the Spotify Global chart, what went wrong with Showgirl era
It hit 800 million in less than half the time of the solo female hit of 2025 and is still doing more than double that song's daily streams, so I feel like something went right!

Taylor Swift
IKY,IKY (country soundtrack single) outstreaming every Olivia single in the US. Why?

There's no point in responding while y'all are sucking your own hate boners but Taylor can't copyright strike an AI image of Madison Square Garden. She has no legal path to stop images like that being shared. You were essentially demanding she get into a public back and forth with Trump himself on her honeymoon which is ridiculous and not the same thing.- HDD: #1 Madonna 126.7K
Olivia blocking an up-and-coming Best New Artist eligible songstress? Not a girls girl.- People just blindly hate anything AI
Came in here assuming you'd be looking for a discussion with a bit of nuance where you reminded people that AI features are considerably older than LLMs and generative AI (things like spellcheck, predictive text, and data indexing for search) and instead you're defending generative AI . People should be shamed for using it. LLMs, too. Generative AI is just cartoonishly evil and LLMs are woefully inaccurate about so many things. Giving people lower quality information than what they could Google 15 years ago. I went to a Taylor Swift trivia night a couple of months ago (and won, hi hi), and had to challenge multiple question answers because it was clearly made with AI. No, Love Story was not her first Hot 100 number 1. You aren't entitled to make art with skills you don't have off the backs of people who do have those skills!- Who will be the first female lead to reach 4B song: Billie vs Gaga
Mathematically it's Billie. Personally, if I could choose, I'd probably keep it that way. BOAF is a much better song. In general, I'd rather Gaga have the record, though. Such a flex when the digital girls claim major streaming records. I just don't use DWAS whatsoever, it's such a Uptown Funk/Happy/Can't Stop The Feeling song spiritually and I'm happy for the people who enjoy that music, but it's not for me. BOAF, meanwhile, is one of the best songs of the decade.- Billboard reveals Taylor Swift's 50 biggest Hot 100 hits
The recurrent rule change- GP support for Beyoncé's "return" to her old sound is sky high. Should she listen?
I love Renaissance but I agree that I'd love to hear her return to an early Bey sound. Release Standing On The Sun next!- Billboard reveals Taylor Swift's 50 biggest Hot 100 hits
Opalite logging a week at number 1, 3 weeks in the top 2, ~19 (?) weeks in the top 10, and 30+ weeks on the chart and not even in her top 10. Truly the biggest artist OAT in the USA already.- ATRL decides. One month later, is Stupid Song a hit?
Are those predictions based on current streams? That's a bit optimistic as they're all dropping- ATRL decides. One month later, is Stupid Song a hit?
Yes, for sure. This era probably isn't getting a Vampire-sized hit, though. She's done a good job building her fanbase and serving quality. I hate to say it, I really do, but it's very much giving Speak Now. I hope she keeps on the path and delivers a Red with bonafide smashes AND quality next. - Taylor's team files DMCA takedowns against fans who posted her wedding invitation
