  1. honestly yes she couldn't have wished for more
  2. Building on @whatyouwant_'s excellent research, I've noticed that Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS (2023), despite being a massive flop according to Swifties, has spent or is due to spend longer on the UK albums chart than any Taylor Swift release since 2022. Why do you think The Alleged Music Industry is failing to match the longevity of a supposed commercial bomb? GUTS: 156 weeks, currently #38 --mind the gap-- Red (Taylor's Version): 142 weeks, currently OUT The Tortured Poets Department: 112 weeks, currently OUT 1989 (Taylor's Version): 92 weeks, currently OUT Speak Now (Taylor's Version): 55 weeks, currently OUT The Life of a Showgirl: 47 weeks, currently OUT Bonus! Midnights: 157 weeks, currently OUT; GUTS will match its number of weeks on chart next week and overtake it the following week. Bonus Bonus! YSPSFAGSIL (2026), GUTS (2023), and SOUR (2021) are all charting in the Top 40, while The Alleged Music Industry has no albums in the Top 100.
  3. "the UK nerfs singles" maybe make an album that doesn't entirely suck outside of the lead single then?
  4. you can also add GUTS to your list of albums that spent more than 100 weeks on the UK albums chart (156 weeks and counting), despite swifties claiming it was a gigantic flop

i cant find it now but that video of two gay millennial americans contemplating stealing a poster of ariana outside the O2 on the last night of her tour where one of them constantly crows about it being "iconic" has made me feel viscerally homophobic

oh i thought it was just AOTY users who were beyond delusional (i can't stomach reading any reviews on that site, especially the ones with the most likes)

    prima user score now yellow
  8. nothing. she isn't the first abysmal popstar to have some short-lived internet buzz and she won't be the last
  9. i mean it's 2026. miley, selena, and demi aren't super important artists in pop music anymore and haven't been for some time. as long as she enjoys making music and her fans enjoy listening to it then ultimately who cares?
  10. gelato replied to Rian's topic in Base
    This cornball
  11. miley is the only listenable one in the OP i guess
