Because she was heavily drugged during the cship for so long, her erratic behavior is a clear consequence of how abrupt it ended. Things should've been more gradual and treated with care, medics, psychiatric help and a team that has their best interest at heart, and she has neither. This is completely sad. I'm also putting my tin foil hat on and believe that the way she was left alone, like this, is what her father wanted after control over her ended to prove that "this is how she is without me" for the world to see and question whether fighting for her freedom was a good idea.

Your values don't align but I wouldn't cut them off, I'd just keep it moving and adjust expectations. You can still have them around for the surface-level fun they seem to care more about, while you look for real connections elsewhere if you like. By the time you do, you won't care for them at all.
