Being the face of four FIFA World Cups and having genuine recognition well beyond the West, in places like Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East, makes her feel like the most global pop star to me. I just think she is not that big in the USA and Canada. People from the anglosphere are surprised when they realize how MASSIVE she is in other countries

I think someone like Austin Mahone would've been much more popular today. There aren't many conventionally attractive male pop stars breaking through right now, so I feel like he would've had a much easier time finding an audience.
