My whole thing with these comments is like, the public was NOT condemning Israel or R Kelly at that point in time You can look at it with hindsight now like "here's this article about this atrocity that happened, published in 2009-2011" but most people weren't actually aware of that, and it wasn't as widely controversial as you'd think. We were being spoonfed pro-Israel propaganda for ages. R Kelly was still selling records & collaborated with Justin Bieber, Kelly Rowland, Bruno Mars, Mariah Carey, etc. around the same time as DWUW. So it's ridiculous that whenever Katy Perry does something personally bad (i.e. lower-level sexual assault) or endorses somebody that is already widely disdained (Dr. Luke, Jeff Bezos) it can't be interrogated cuz "look, here's this same video of Gaga complimenting R Kelly in 2013 that we've reposted 500x at this point"

And in these posts, she's doing exactly what people have now been dragging her for: Using "eat the rich" rhetoric to market herself and make herself seem better than Taylor, even though she came from wealth, went to NYU, went to Grammy Camp, and got signed to RCA the millisecond she decided to move to LA & pursue music full-time. She's never been a struggling artist.
