Teri Hatcher to play Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical

Gaga overtakes Billie's BOAF for most streamed song by a lead female. Surprised?
When the song came out, all you guys kept saying was that it would flop and Gaga would be the reason why. And then it did really well, and you guys became absolutely obsessed with crediting Bruno so that your narratives about Gaga still make sense. You can take this faux-innocent remark and shove it lmao

SYG: 2026
Out of fairness for DWAS, at what point do we start removing the non-album singles (NRO & HIH) from all Smile stats and making it look even worse

Why was Lorde's "Royals" considered such a turning point for pop music?
Can you really accuse me of doing that when I'm citing her as part of an impact that I ultimately consider to have been bad and made pop music worse I love Revival & Selena, but yk, it was this huge era, Britney cited it as a direct influence on Glory, it made Julia Michaels blow up as a writer, it kicked off the whisper-singing trend, etc. and then we ended up in this intimate minimal slump in the years after

Why was Lorde's "Royals" considered such a turning point for pop music?
Early 2010s pop was definitely still thriving after Lorde, commercially with Taylor's 1989 and critically with CRJ's Emotion. I think what really murdered it was Selena's Revival, and then The Chainsmokers Closer was the catastrophic final nail in the coffin Everything after that was just awful.

From Beyoncé's boxes to Taylor's towels: How billionaires treat fans like ATMs
The entire purpose of this article being to deflect attention to Taylor Nobody can just admit when a pop girl does something crazy, it always has to turn into "but Taylor Swift"

Boys vs Boys (The Co-Ed Remix)
The original version is just astronomical levels of c***. The Pharrell feat isn't touching it

Dua's team: "Judge us in two years"
It's 1 song that went viral randomly, which can happen for any artist & any song. That's a far cry away from "really important album" "most streamed artist in the world" "change pop culture"

Hit songs known for being "bad"
ngl I enjoyed these I HATED The Chainsmokers' Closer though. That was a catastrophic event for pop music

- Dua's team: "Judge us in two years"
This objectively didn't happen and you guys are pretending it did because a song went viral on TikTok- Did P!nk deserve to win this award?
I guess it could've made sense at the time, but Whenever Wherever and I'm a Slave 4 U are so iconic that it's hard to wrap my head around this outcome- Is Bad Day actually a bad song or are people doing too much?
I guess I had a completely different experience, cuz I didn't see it being overplayed. I basically only knew it because of the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie But it's a classic. - Dua's team: "Judge us in two years"
