None of these songs, aside from Ohio, would receive anywhere near this much attention if they had been on previous albums that match their soundscape (patient zero & ttpd, babylon & evermore, pink ***** poppin' &1989). The criticism is largely a critique on her dominance the last few years. You see this as the conversation has moved on from any individual song toward "she needs a break". That's not to say she doesnt deserve criticism, but it's been hilarious reading the Music sub reddit and seeing Slayer fans say these songs are trash, as if they were ever the audience for them.
