i know the question is geared to people who only listen to other genres but for me it's a yes and no because for some odd reason when i talk to people who only listen to one specific genre i always have to defend the fact i have a wide arrange of tastes and even though i don't feel ostracized i often feel annoyed because i always get hit with the over exaggerated ewwwww male artists ewwwww straight people music or "oooo she's different!" like calm down i like pop music but it's not my favorite and i'm starting to prefer a lot of rock, folk and other music that most gays "find boring" or often act dismissive to. i don't really keep up with much of the new artists like adela, kateseye or whatever labubu hunty cunty ijbol girlies that manage to be auto generated like every week so when those conversations come up at the bar or they're played at the elite gay clubs i'm kinda out of the loop ff.
