Large fandoms in general are a cult. The only difference this time around is that Taylor's fandom has managed to last for over two decades now, and for her, it is always a net-positive because for every fan she loses she gains one or two more, considering her focus audience has always been women in general (who pass music down to their children). I understand that pop enthusiasts might see the behavior that Swifties have towards Taylor as cultish, given how much other pop artists are dropped out of nowhere and fall into irrelevance by these same enthusiasts, but I'm amazed at the entitlement of believing that people should dislike the same things that you or other people online do.

Yawn. It's pretty clear that the industry will go through a crisis as soon as Taylor retires, since people couldn't care less about spending coins in the artists that labels have tried to push in The West for the past 10 years at minimum. There's a big group of Taylor Swift listeners that couldn't care less about other artists as well, I imagine this situation is headache-inducing for the CEOs of these music companies. Without Taylor, lots of revenue and funding will go away.
