I am really struggling today (on Ariana Grande's birthday mind you… but maybe the Cancerian energy is getting to me).

I don't have a healthy relationship with my phone. I don't want to cut friends off cold turkey but I need to set firmer boundaries for myself just because I'm getting back to that space where every little thing can trigger me again and send me on a tailspin where I'm getting irrationally angry and acting out of step when IDRGAF if I was in sound mind.

It really is as simple as log out and engage in a hobby so I'm going to try to do that for two months and see where it takes me. I managed a month last year and it was refreshing being totally detached.

This happened to me in college and is why I stopped going. It was too painful having to comb through old trauma to try to unlearn attitudes I held towards myself that felt deeply rooted.

The pills are calming me down a bit but I am still burned out and depressed. Got to fix my sleep and avoid coffee all together.

honestly, overall, this pride month f*cking sucked so much. I think that as a 29 year old I might be feeling the most intense insecurity of my life, and that's saying something as someone who has been insecure since preschool. everytime I've gotten drunk with friends in public this month and I've seen people making out or being flirtatious or gassing each other up or what have you (ESPECIALLY when it's a man and a woman making out) I have had the most pathetic little attention-seeking breakdowns where I start talking about how ugly I feel or how much I want to die. it is genuine attention-seeking behavior and it is not fun to be around. it's always when I'm drunk and it's always triggered in particular by men and women being interested in each other and a lack of female attention towards me. it is so self-centered and it is so embarrassing in retrospect. I think I need to be way more confident but I honestly don't know what's gonna help me with that at this point. I feel so f*cking alone. I am grateful for all the male attention I've gotten over the past few years on sniffies but I'm not gonna deny that I genuinely really miss being romantic/sexual with women and I really wish I could have a girlfriend or just idk. more women to pay attention to me. I really need therapy and better mood stabilizers too, I'm ngl. I'm really struggling and I actually cannot stand my bisexuality sometimes. it complicates everything. I complicate everything.

I can sort of relate to this.

not bi, nor do I have breakdowns, but when I go with my female friends to a straight club, and see the straights flirting with each other, and I'm just standing there like noparty. It hurts. It hurts your confidence big time, and makes you feel lonely. at least you can get responses on apps. I'm too scared of rejection to even try the apps

it really does! honestly I also had a small rejection at the club when I was there on sunday too where this random gay introduced himself to me and his friend (this sweet girl I had met prior to being at the club and had by chance ran into) gave him the most unsubtle like "hmm!?" to see if he was interested in dancing with me and he was like oh no thanks and honestly that bothered me less than all the other flirting around me for some reason. people are wild. pride is far more difficult than some people look back at it as imo. like ahhhh pride last year was so fun! okay but like are they forgetting all the drama and rejection and miscommunications we all deal with? it's too real

the way I see it for apps tbh is like... definitely remind yourself that you ARE good enough before going on. I like having consistent FWBs at the end of the day, if a hookup goes well I always recommend getting their instas or their numbers. the apps are definitely not for everyone though so I feel you. I can't stand tinder, for example. I like grindr and sniffies at the moment, but honestly when I still had my long hair I'd get some awful messages every so often about how my hair looked. ****'s crazy. people are so emboldened to be assholes sometimes

At first, it did, but after a few weeks I was back to normal. Nothing can beat the power of my horniness lol.

Side effects are different for different people, though.

My sister is probably gonna be on life support soon and I'm having a hard time accepting I'm gonna be homeless and part of me wishes it was my mom who was the one who helped drive her there…

the past 2 weeks:

-after a long time of job hunting i finally got a very good offer but then i realized the position was not for me and now they're blowing up my phone because i already signed the contract but i've been ghosting them for 2 weeks rip

- i just took a licensure exam that i've been reviewing for the last year and a half and i'm pretty sure i flunked it.

-i have another interview tomorrow that i have no intention of attending

-now i'm thinking of going back to school just for the heck of it

i just want to disappear and never have to think of anything ever again

Every day it gets harder to breathe. I've been losing to my depression for so long, and I'm trying to accept that things will never get better because the problem is me, my body and the choices I made that I can never undo. I don't know how much longer I can do this.

I've been struggling with the same thing sister hug

It's gotten to the point where I can't even work without having some sort of podcast/youtube video on and whenever I'm not at work, I'm scrolling on my phone regardless of the activity and I end up not sleeping well.

I just started Vyvanse a few weeks ago for my ADHD and hopefully increasing the dosage will provide enough dopamine for me to be on my phone less.

Hang in there buddy hug You've stuck it out for this long. I bounce in and out of depressive thoughts and it can feel all-consuming but it doesn't have to be. Be kind to yourself today and do something to ease your mind (even if it's small like a stroll in the sunshine with some music playing).

I've been alone for so long. Not just relationship wise but just in life in general and I didn't think I would ever find peace in my own solitude. But I wish I knew sooner that all of my growth would come from finding comfort in being with myself.

This year I've worked really hard to leave everything behind that doesn't serve me. Hookups, external validation, situationships, bad friends.

I'll have lost 30kg by the middle of next month and I feel like I'm 7 years younger. For me, I've realised my depression was from projecting externally and I'm so proud to being on a path to overcome that.

Of course I'd love good friends, a life partner and a picket fence but my journey has taught me that I am the centre of my own universe and everything else are just embellishments. I'm grateful that I am enough for myself no matter what happens

Im really starting to get tired of everyone on this site bullying me or belittling me and these people I've never spoke too. Im not welcome in any thread and even when I try I get neglected or ignore. I get it enough in real life. Even in discord server the owner tries to neglect me from the others or people just hate me like they got the urge to hate me like I try to be friends with them and they are like your pathetic **** off. Its really getting to me. I got diagnosed from autism in December and it started to make sense why it takes me a bit to get comfortable or even socialize online and real because I think differently but I don't think it's my head I'm really getting treated like this and idk what else to do. I just want friends I just want to be apart of something be apart of a community

Id love to be apart of ktrl since Kpop is my biggest passion but nope. I try to listen to the pop girls to discuss album with you guys but still nope.. it hurts 💔

I think I made the worst decision I could have made career-wise, and my bipolar depression episode has not seemed to come to an end. rip

I don't know how to pull myself out of it. rip

Sending everyone love, hugs and best wishes.

I'm at this point in my life where I feel trapped. On paper, I have everything going for me but I'm so unhappy with my fiance for multiple reasons. But I can't leave him. It's just insane. I've booked in therapy for the first time in my life.

Does anyone have any experience on how to navigate leaving a long term partner without literally crumbling even if you know it's the right thing to do?

The whole thing is incredibly difficult because you are cutting off part of your life that you are accustomed to even if you think it would be the best for you. Personally, I was gearing up for a long time to cut ties with somebody that even tho I felt like I had good connection with, it just wasn't the person for me. The moment I did, It took a toll emotionally on me because everything reminded me of this person and with having mutual friends, it was hard just even hearing about them and it's still hard to this day. But after some time I made peace with myself and it actually healed some part inside of me and I realised how bad this person was for me, my life and relationships with others. If you do feel trapped and you aren't sure if this is what you want with your live then I advise speaking with someone close to you (or even your fiance) because the longer you stay while being unhappy then the longer you put this hurting on yourself. No matter what you'll do, it will be hard emotionally but the feeling of actually being free and not being locked up in something that is draining you is a huge relief for oneself. Just make sure this is actually what you want because I know a lot of people who cut of people from their lives just for a short moment before wanting to come back not long after.

Remember that a good support system and the ability to air out your feelings/emotions are the key to surviving a situation like that and without people, pets or literally anything around you to comfort you it might be tricky to navigate through.

I have grown extremely reclusive in the last few years. Lately I don't even really want to leave the house. I only leave unless it's to go to work for the most part. I want to be at home. I do not want to be out in the world existing. Being at work makes me especially depressed. Just working brings a flood of existential thoughts and how dumb the system of life is and the way life is set up, I am forced to be out in the world existing when I do not want to be. I just want to be home. I can't stand other people as well so that deters me from leaving as well

I thought I was getting better after one year of therapy but I still see myself getting sad and angry out of nowhere. It's so fucked up that our brains are just wired in some ways and you are literally trapped with it for the rest of your life. I wish I could restart.

Had a friend last year who I got stupidly pretty close with, until I realized they never really cared about my life and only stuck around for my social connections / position (I guess). I went through a couple of depressive episodes the last year and they never reached out to me despite knowing everything that was going on. Been feeling a lot better and have tried to work through the negative feelings because I'm stupid I guess and they constantly give just enough to not be ghosting me. We have a group hang out planned (of course, one I initiated / pushed for) but we never figured out a time and part of me just hopes everyone forgot about it because I cant atand being roped into this same toxic relationship unless it actually starts to feel mutual again

I'm tired of people thinking everything you say has hidden intentions, and why are they never direct about things?

My depression episode is bad and I have now had to book an appointment with my psychiatrist.

It's at the point where certain thoughts can trigger an instant emotion that makes me just completely fall apart and cry. rip

Yay for probably going up another dose of my mood stabilizer.

I've been in therapy for the past 5 months and have made a lot of progress in identifying my issues but the realization of how much I've lost as far as time and connections with people because of them is so… sad. I don't even know where to begin to try and reroute that part of my life.
