Y'all do entirely too much on My Featurings when the real tea is none of y'all would be listening to her without it. There is no Break Free, One Last Time or Love Me Harder on this album. Add in the fan classiques that are Only 1 and Break Your Heart Right Back and what do the little petalsters have left? Big feelings? Big feelings? She doesn't need to make radio-ready writer's camp candy, but with her longevity and knowledge of her own artistry, she should be able to produce similar highs (and did last album).

Like does it make anyone feel better to know she hasn't been doing well at all the entire time in any before or after photos? @IVY Do you need to see her mental and physical state deteriorate further for you to feel right?

"Nothing has changed in her life" to "she is releasing a new album and on a tour right now" - so things have changed? @Communion is putting the quote in context because y'all were using it to act as if she said something she did not. That's it. You can wrestle with the semantics of what you think she said on your own.

Trauma compounds. She has been dealing with this since she was a kid on top of the multitude of unique situations she has been put through in between auditions, whether in the music or movie industry, and that's just the stuff we've seen in public.

The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil says Ariana Grande is "dying"
There's a more nuanced conversation to have about this that very few on here are prepared to have. Unfortunately, from my outsider's perspective, it really does feel like when you cross a certain threshold in business, capital is always the answer before humanity. Ariana releasing music is guaranteed ROI, working with her is a massive add to the resume, if they say or do something that doesn't resonate with her, what happens to them? Something I thought of recently was the picture taken of her with the HTIMYLM #1 and it was so strange. All of these executives would still make money if she dropped dead tomorrow and an anthology/collection went to market. I hate that it's gotten to this point but I generally don't blame anyone arguing in good faith on either side of coin. She is being provocative with the way she is displaying herself in her art, she is actively exploring darker imagery and as she herself has said, she gets paid the more y'all talk ****. She has continued to be placed into the narrow box of victim, seductress and manipulator. We wouldn't be surprised if someone suffering from PTSD was in a bad state in private, but because it's public, because we as fans are still incentivized to consume and engage with her work and have to reckon with that in conversation with people that are looking to paint her in a bad light, it becomes increasingly discomforting. I just typed a whole lot of nothing but I really resent that we can't hold space to engage with nuance and it's always cupcakes versus haters like this isn't something unprecedented and difficult to stomach. I want nothing but the best for her and for her fans. It's really hard to sit with.
