oh Stephanie… I was quick to defend you the other day in the Gaga-related thread because even though I'm a monster I'm very good at understanding and detecting nuance and possessing the ability to see both sides of situation but seeing this thread headline and then the double whammy on top of it ending up being from that same damn interview? yeah sorry but I think I might have to rescind parts of my comment cause what the f*ck lady so you're really gonna defend this actual monster of a human being and yet hold a grudge like that against Gaga in one of the most tumultuous moments of her publicly broadcasted life? figures. people in your generation really can't let go of their internalized misogynistic tendencies. a shame Miss Mills. wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt but you blew it. wishing I could unstream your flop song from the other night (that I unfortunately really like)

I love all three so much but I think that, for its progressive production and more nuanced lyrics alone, Chihiro takes the cake 🏆 it's just a bit more fascinating and feels a bit more cerebral/grown up than the other two. it also gets points in my book for not strictly being about romantic love

I love Stephanie, I have MASSIVE respect for her, and I'm very sorry for her if Gaga did act this way around her. that said, I really do not feel as if "culture vulture" is an apt descriptor for Lady Gaga. like… let's just be as objective as possible here the only time I can think of Lady Gaga being culturish vulturish was during the Artpop era for like a second. according to some of you, that may be when this alleged encounter occurred, so Miss Mills may uhhhh be utilizing the time itself to define Gaga's overall behavior throughout her career. I wouldn't personally do that because… well, first of all, I'm a little monster so I've seen her through all her sketchy phases (been broke/been a sh*tty waitress/but she's not now). second of all, it feels a bit reductive of one's character-grasping abilities. Stephanie is a sharp woman who's been in showbiz for decades. does she really think that reducing Gaga to "culture vulture" is… wholly accurate? if she does then by all means more power to her but ehh. oh and third of all, I know this is devil's advocate behavior (so drag me if you wanna!) but… Gaga's done so much less "culture vulture" aligning things throughout her career than I'm sure PLENTY of other people the lovely Miss Mills has encountered throughout the years have. idk. just my opinion love her though so lemme give I Feel Good All Over some streams

no, there's scant Lana could do atp that'd ruin her career. she's so intelligent and special as an artist, in part, because right out the gate she capitalized on being stylized in a way (both musically and aesthetically) that's both indebted to and clinging against nostalgic Americana. that's why, no matter what anyone says, she will always feel like the modern day Bruce Springsteen to me. Springsteen did a huge genre shift after his first extended imperial era (Born to Run through The River) with Nebraska and his fanbase still clung onto him because he'd already established himself as the exact kind of musician he's always been meant to be. Lana is super famous and exactly as we know her as an artist. that voice is incredibly unique, as is that pen. anything she touches, for better or for worse, is wholly hers. I like Jewel a lot but not only was she not established in the zeitgeist in the way Bruce was and Lana is, she didn't have the unique spot in the public eye either of them have always been able to captivate. you think of Bruce, you think of New Jersey, guitars, stadium anthems, tall boys of beer, road songs, freedom… you think of Lana, you think of California AND New York, pianos, strings, festivals, flower crowns, rolling joints, partying on the beach, white wine, road songs, freedom… you think of Jewel, you think of … some cute folk songs and some cute pop songs? she didn't have that overarching aestheticization the way Bruce and Lana have always had

being bisexual has always been a core part of my identity. I am a very sexual being in general but like… I'm so glad people finally are feeling like they take me seriously as a bisexual man. for years in my mid-20s it was just "oh he's a gay dude who's confused" or "oh he'll eventually realize that he doesn't like women." no. I love women so much. I love men too. I am wholeheartedly and contently bisexual and I wouldn't change it for the world it's a beautiful thing

I also so yeah. idk if it's my newfound confidence, being insanely consistent with this o method (I just whacked it 5 minutes ago and did it again), just my haircut doing wonders, or a combo of all three but… yeah I. genuinely believe in this. man. I already loved being bisexual but being ACTIVELY bisexual this consistently nowadays is me actually living out my dream. unreal.

as someone who has very high testosterone (is very hairy, is musky, has intense pheromones on pretty much his entire body…) I can definitely understand why people would want to smell various parts of my body including my feet so when it comes to a desirability, the concentrated smells of my shoes/socks are also understandable I've been told that my chest and armpits are great places to nestle one's nose in. also when I was hooking up with my friend (who is a cis woman) last weekend, after we woke up the next morning and I was only in my undies I commented that I kinda was a bit sweaty and musky from her warm bed and she was like "yeah but not in a bad way!" which is a major compliment coming from a lady. it's usually just other queer men admiring a naturally masculine aura, it's always appreciated when queer women who are into dudes can be enticed by it too

Reaching for a Star and Wedding Season are both so funky! there's something somewhat ominous about Reaching for a Star too in the verses that's very appealing to me wow all this wah guitar on the Day side's continued tracks is I kinda wish she'd added more on the standard tracks! wah pedals make some of my favorite sounds ever Lullaby is incredible and the wah wah adds soooooo much sexiness and sultriness to it! it somehow reminds me simultaneously of American Girl by Lina Morgana, Ultraviolence by Lana, and Live in the Dream by St. Vincent okay now onto the Night continued songs!
