It was never going to be successful as a radio single. I remember hearing it played and it was very jarring. It's a fantastic song, but it's for the fans. Down to the video being so ridiculously camp like who was going to interact with that other than the most ardent Liddo? I do think it's a great time capsule of like the last vestiges of on the pulse Gaga before she gets lost to Big Hollywood/Big Adult Contemporary/Big Pharma, so I appreciate on that front.

Don't disagree with you or want to antagonize. I feel like her original output was fairly accessible and not solely locked to gay guy MV night. Superscar has a huge soaring chorus. You can change the sonics and visuals without losing the USP and I think it becomes harder when she's just a pink wig doing less good material with the references so recent and so obvious. But again, I want to give her grace. Hopefully she gets the space and budget to figure something out here and my opinion hardly matters because I think this is finding an audience.

It brings me no joy to hate on this girl because I do think she is incredibly promising and has star quality. She really could have kept this. So many direct songs you could pass off to Madison Beer and no one would bat an eye. The production on Nicole, Boys and Fantasize are cute. Maybe something will grow on me but it's a step down from her EP and the HYMN that is SexOnTheBeat.
