Shows last long because people become invested in characters, even when the writing magic starts to fade (cough Supernatural). AHS was doomed by S5 because the writing started to suck (recycled characters, tropes, imagery) and the one thing that keeps long series alive is sort of the antithesis of what AHS was (well, before they started to make these extra Coven seasons to bring back a fan base).

First of all the ARTPOP performance in this video is amazing and I wish we had it in full. Maybe its one of those ingorance is bliss kinda things but this looks like… a normal person's schedule? Obviously without all the traveling (unless youre really high up) but theres 2-3 day breaks written in every week or so, a holiday break, etc. Id imagine by your 4th album cycle though you dont really need to be this busy.

The whole concept of trying to figure out which country is a colonizing country and which is not is quite rash anyway. Most nations that have survived today have done so through colonization and forceful assimilation (some means of erasing or purposefully supressing), its simply a matter of going far enough back in time and opening a history book.
