now that the ATRL archives are officially open I need someone to help me find that one thread that had an OP that was like "church and religious icon Jesus Christ was found…" it was something very kiiworthy and it was one of those hilarious threads that just had so many iconic and messy moments within it

I also cannot STAND the fact that she's been proven to have used specifically tuned pianos in the past. what the actual f*ck? I SUCK AT PIANO, I'm entirely self-taught, you think I'd EVER tune a keyboard to a specific key to make it easier for myself? f*ck no I actually like utilizing my brain while I'm working on my instrumental skills. I cannot believe that someone at her level of fame in the music realm would EVER do that sort of thing. it's mind-boggling to me, I'm sorry.

this part in particular, as someone who was classically trained on one instrument (upright bass) but who's tirelessly taught himself many more and who also has taught himself how to sing almost entirely on his own, really hits hard. she is not a talented instrumentalist whatsoever. I am. many people I know personally are. her skills are pedestrian as f*ck and it depresses me whenever I see her stans try to single out her instrumental skills as anything greater than basic. nah. hone in on where her talents actually lie: her songwriting. her melodic skills.
