MFF vs Wuthering Heights: Charli’s best work?
Music, Fashion, Film… and like by far lol

Where does 'Message in a Bottle' rank in Taylor Swift's discography?
it's my 145th most played Taylor song lol. it's cute, but The Very First Night is like a majorly improved version of it imo

Delete one 2026 female album: WGIA, yspsfagsil, CONFESSIONS II, MFF, petal
lmfaoooooo man cmon, obviously Petal I mean it's cute, but cute doesn't stack up against phenomenal now does it? WGIA, MFF, and YSPSfaGSiL in particular are phenomenal the whole ways thru. Confessions II is phenomenal throughout most of it

Random Thoughts
just had such an amazing first date with a gorgeous older woman we kissed a bit but she went home a few minutes ago cause she could tell that I need real ass sleep and she didn't wanna bother me by tossing and turning but we might hang again later today! ahhhh she's so cute and cool and I'm glad that after all this time (we met in December 2024) we're finally hanging and aaaahhhh a woman is into me?? like pinch me I must be dreaming

Slayyyter - "brand new chanel$"
obsessed with this slice of pop perfection it's like the lovechild of Brittany Murphy and Jade's Plastic Box! it deserves to be a hit and sounds like one imo

it is very clear that the second half is where the main highlights are, but I love the sequencing cause it feels like an adventure. it's quite lowkey until Fxck starts, and then the party gets going. it feels like you're microdosing shrooms and then having a dance party in your candlelit bathtub

yeah so I'm on Grip and on first listen this is probably my favorite album of hers it's the perfect blend of accessible and avant-garde, and I'm obsessed with how lowkey this rollout has felt. it's like the pinnacle of her artistry and it sounds so smooth even when it gets spikier, it's just so metallic and chic and beautiful

randomly giving this a first listen rn

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
hmmm okay, initial thoughts time! it's cute! it's a cute album for sure. it's more interesting sonically, imo, than Eternal Sunshine. in fact, I'd say it's her most sonically interesting album overall since Thank U, Next. while I do echo the sentiments of some that it's lacking a bit in hooks, I will say that my main gripe is far more... perhaps, onerous, to the MAJOR Ariana fan: where the f*ck are the big vocal moments? I know, I know, nuance is very in right now! a bit of minimalism goes a long way right now! I know I know I know, I get it! please do come to her defense if you think I'm being the big bad Joe-wolf right now or whatever. flay me. but yeah dude I don't know... it's just a little disappointing to me, personally, as a longtime more casual fan of hers that there's so few standout vocal moments here. I don't think it was copium when I said in the Hate That I Made You Love Me single thread that I hear a small whistle moment in the outro, I do stand by that! but that is, notably, the ONLY potential whistle note in the entire album. bruh. I'm a self-taught singer. I was not naturally gifted as a kid the way a lot of the great singers of all time (including the likes of Ariana, Whitney, Mariah...) but I try to practice almost every day of my life and I want to be a big belter and known for that. Ariana is known for that and I hate to be a broken record but like... and obviously I love the thought of her experimenting and really paving her own path! idk. I just miss the big vocals. and yes, before anyone says it, I KNOW I CAN GO BACK in her discography! I know that! lmfaooo. sometimes it's just a little disheartening idk to me, this album does not stack up to stuff like Music Fashion Film or YSPSfaGSiL or New Avatar or Wor$t Girl in America or The Apple Tree Under the Sea or even Sexistential. it's fine. it's cute. but it's not particularly wow-ing to me. and that's okay! not every album from a pop artist needs to be that way. it's serviceable and cute and has some nicer songs and some more eh songs. it could also be a major grower, I'll give it some more listens for sure! but these are my initial thoughts on the matter standouts for me: Kiss Me (pop perfection!), Stay, Oh Well, Freak (sick as f*ck honestlyyy), Bad Thing Bunny Hop (also pop perfection!)

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
this album feels like the pop girl answer to Miguel's Caos tbh
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Bad Thing (Bunny Hop) is really f*cking good oh wow? probably my second fav after Kiss Me on my first listen tbh! it screams hit single imo
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Never Get Over Me's outro... like what are all these blatant wasted opportunities for big vocal moments
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Like I Do is a bop and will also go hard at the gym, kinda reminds me of Rihanna's Pour It Up for some reason lol
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Freak has some cool new age elements to it, kinda her Kesha Fly Away moment

ummm why the hell did she not do whistle notes on Big Feelings song is good, but damn like that last minute? that was one of THE most perfect opportunities for a big whistle run in her entire discography bro...... and yet? wasn't taken. shame imo
