The newborn is taken care of equally by both the sister and the meyaledet. When the nun takes care of the baby, she plays christmas music like Mariah's rendition of O Holy Night (yes for real) and Celine's Noel song. When the meyaledet tends to the baby, she plays songs like Hava Nagila Hava and Father Can You Hear Me by Barbra Striesand. At the end of the week, they remove the christian symbols first from the crib. they take note if the baby cries. they stop playing Mariah. they take note if the baby cried. They do the same for the star of david and Barbra Streisand. If the baby cries when the catholic symbols are taken away or when the christmas music stops, but DOESN'T cry when the jewish music and symbols are removed, it is determined that the baby shall be baptised in a catholic church. If the opposite happens, the baby shall proceed to undergo a bris and thus forge a covenant with God. This is just the week they decided to do this.
