Fearless is truly the perfect sophomore album isn't it? All killer no filler. A real masterclass in how not to have the sophomore slump.

It really does suck that the song isn't featured in the film. A really impactful scene would've done wonders for its commercial potential.

It will all be worth it if it secures the TayOscar, though. I think pretty good odds so far tbh.

She picked a good movie this time, but the movie didn't pick her song for a scene.

Seriously, I went into a thread today that had NOTHING to do with her directly and half the posts were about her, or her fans, or both like it's kind of concerning that a meaningful portion of this site uses it apparently exclusively as an extension of her snark subreddits and a venting space about how much they hate her lmao

I think that with the wedding, Taylor already has a "celebration" that will be widely covered and discussed. So they are strategically staying quiet at the moment.

When the album first came out, I really hated it. At some point, I switched and really loved it. Now, I think it's a bit genius and a bit clunky.

I love the production and the almost satirical tone. Her face when she performed it live while singing, "'Cause we're….crazy" in Vancouver was priceless. I also like how verbose and conversational it is in general.

The seven bars of chocolate lyric doesn't bother me as much as it does other people, but I don't love it. What I truly cannot handle is the wedding ring lyric. It almost sounds like something she was figuring out while writing the song (like the Getaway Car session) and just never figured out how to make it flow correctly.

The truly crazy thing to me about the song is that it was selected for track two, which is typically reserved for something instant. It clearly wasn't instant. Look at its total/daily streams despite its VIP placement on the tracklist. I think GAS?, Down Bad, or My Boy are much more obvious track 2 options. I understand that it's the title track, but that doesn't necessarily mean it needs to come early. It's not like the album is told in chronological order, either. I lowkey would have liked that as a concept, though. Still would've put GAS? ahead in the ordering.

My main complain about TTPD (song) is that the production was so cool and interesting, and the lyrics just don't do it the justice it deserves. Great melodies throughout though.

I wish I could listen to Down Bad again the first time, now that was an experience

I went back and read through a few pages from the album thread from release night. What an experience. It's funny seeing some people I know to be "TTPD haters" singing praises for it when they gave it a first listen in this thread. TTPD was immediate for me. I called it The Tortured Poets Society. lol.
