Well, I do hate fun. I primarily listen to midwest emo music and songs that illicit some sense of emotional resonance in it. Taylor's glitter gel pen songs are among my absolute least favorite in her discography. I absolutely loathe them.

So High School is definitely my favorite Travis song. I enjoy the production and the melodic composition of The Alchemy, but found the actual lyrics to be a bit of a miss for me. I'm kind of shocked and appalled its being used as an indicator that she writes well when it comes to Travis. So High School and The Fate of Ophelia are right there.

Because she's the biggest name in the modern music industry and her success overshadows people they are parasocial towards, so it feels like it is a success for them in turn to see her fumble, for lack of a better term.

Patient Zero is such an earworm for me when I'm not listening to it. But once I go to listen to it and it gets to the bridge... I fear its the most jarring bridge I can think of in her discography. It's not enough to turn me off to the song, I still really enjoy it, but it is enough for me not to place it among my absolute favorite tracks. I'm imagining a world where Patient Zero has a similar bridge from Eldest Daughter and wow.

I can understand how someone could dislike TTPD, but the people criticizing her songwriting on it and still only ever referencing the Charlie Puth line, the chocolate line, and the without the racists line… something isn't adding up. Not on an album with songwriting from fortnight, so long London, guilty as sin, fresh out the slammer, loml, the black dog, Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus, the albatross, the prophecy, etc. like be so for real.

evermore is better than folklore. Likewise, so is TTPD.

Babylon was my original favorite track, but I fear with repeated listens, its been falling in favor of Patient Zero and Pink Clouding. Cleveland I don't necessarily dislike. Of all her songs like that, I find it to be the most tolerable.

Taylor is an active collaborator in the music she puts out. It's not like she shows up to the booth and goes home and then gets a call that her song is done. Producers for artists like that are vehicles following the artistic direction of the artist to execute the technicalities for them.
