I mean if they want to have a big celebration for their industry friends following a small ceremony for important people in their lives, it seems completely reasonable to me. Imagine if they have a 24 hour rave/festival. All the big musicians and djs that are going to be on the invite list if they have MSG locked down… the invitations to collaborate that could come from this

So many problems with Opalite mv:

• The video is too long

• Boring intro killed the replay value

• Looks like a SNL sketch

• Opalite needed an outdoor shot video in Italy or Greece

The video just feels lethargic compared to the song. Something inspired by La La Land would've been perfect imo.

Opalite just needed a better video and two good performances (she wasted SNL and the iHeart Awards) plus proper playlist placement; it would have been a number-one hit for at least 3 or 4 weeks and would now be holding steady at 2 million streams, having a year very similar to Anti-Hero rather than Fortnight.

Obviously, with greater promotion, performances, and proper playlisting, Ophelia would have been even bigger, and today it would still be hovering around the 4 million daily streams mark.

I think Elizabeth Taylor should have remained a fan favorite, and the track to promote should have been Father Fugure perhaps with a great remix sent to radio and included in a deluxe edition (like Dua did with Levitating, though it could have been done without a collab).

TS TV is my dream. I'm so not looped in to the chatter though, exciting that she's mending the relationships she had at the start of her career (although I wouldn't say anything was necessarily burned, just giving attention after not really interacting with them much outside of tossing a song here and there to the format from her later albums)

I just stumbled upon it. Honestly this whole "issue" isn't helping anyone. It's intrinsically linking Olivia to Taylor every time she does ANYTHING. And it ultimately will be the gravitational pull that will drown her out if she can't eventually escape it. She just released a really magnificent album, and her press coverage is being shared with Taylor Swift. From a media and marketing standpoint, Taylor is dominating the conversation and has not had to do anything to get free coverage.

If you're a fan of both, then you're still going to listen to them. If you hate Taylor Swift you're going to find reason to victimize the other party. If you are too old or turned off by Olivia you're going to feel it was justified. No one is changing any of their real feelings over the speculations. All it's really doing is turning me off from all of the celebrity of both of them.

My assumption is that both signed NDA's as they settled this, and that's why we don't hear a word from either side. Was it traumatic? I doubt it. We've had this conversation when OR2 lead was released, then when OR2 was released, then when OR3 lead was released and now while OR3 is released, it will happen again for OR4, and OR5 too.

On top of that, it sounds like Olivia was still praising Taylor after the credits were given, it sounds like Taylor gave Olivia a 12 page letter with advice on the music industry after the credits were given. Taylor cheers for Olivia at these events when she's televised (who's to say if that's for posture or because she wants her to succeed - I don't really care).

We know Taylor takes criticism into account when making her next albums. One of the big things with this album is that she flat out went and lied several times that this album is full of bangers, when we know it is not. Maybe as a course correction she will actually deliver bangers for TS13. And to be clear a banger is an upbeat song with a bombastic or bouncy chorus like I knew you were trouble, I think he knows, I did something bad, Style etc.

And no, songs like Father Figure and Honey don't count as bangers .

I thought it was just on the New Heights podcast that Travis said they were all bangers? I didn't think she ever said they were bangers. She plastered "MAX MARTIN. SHELLBACK. TAYLOR SWIFT." All over the place and said Max wanted to try a hand at what Taylor created with folklore.

Very open to upbeat bangers, don't get me wrong. Would also love a "Need You Now" or "American Honey" style song from her. Pop-country emotional banger.
