  1. The way I jumped when I saw the insta story and then my reaction was EXACTLY this
  2. As long as the entire world isn't past Tuesday, 8AM I am not losing hope
  3. Yeah I love surprise releases too. I hope we get more in the future. That said, it won't happen as long as she's pushing for first week numbers because she has to have the physicals ready and therefore, we will know about a new album coming from some manufacturer leaking info anyway.
  4. I think they have it easier in terms of breaking through. Where they have it harder is that the death of monoculture don't allow them to really reach a very wide audience the way the previous generations did. Adela for example is successful but she's still niche too. That's what most new girls are. Really breaking into the mainstream has become exponentially difficult. And even if a song does break the mainstream barrier, there's still a long way for people to also become highly interested in the artist behind it.
  5. Speak on it. Tell them. Inform them. I don't think TTPD is ever beating evermore as my favorite (likely nothing she'll release ever will because evermore is too special for me), but it just keep aging like the finest of wine.
  6. Yeah because nothing says "I'm copying" more than doing it a mere week after like these things don't take time to plan. Please. There's been words about 250k vinyls sitting in Taylor's warehouse for more than a month now. So whether or not this is about Debut 20th anniversary, that has nothing to do with Beyoncé doing her own album anniversary. And it's also not like everybody's been speculating about Debut TV being released on its 20th anniversary ever since the letter she shared after buying her old masters. They just both have an album that was released in 2006.
  7. Yeah, Beyoncé definitely invented the concept of anniversary re-releases.
  8. Again, it's not that I think she can't release great music (obviously, otherwise why would I even bother to be here ), it's just that I don't want it diluted in a mid album. In this situation, even a sister-EP would be preferable. Like in a folklore-evermore kind of way where both albums are complementary but also distinct and have their own identity. And also, I'd rather choke on my words in a few months than letting myself be fooled by my optimism for the same album twice.
  9. I imagine it's (at least partially) directed at me but I definitely do want new music. I just don't want it to be related to Showgirl because I'd much prefer to leave that album in the past and move on to greater things. And yes, I'm gonna hold her to what she said Showgirl was supposed to be because it's the first time she described a new album as something it categorically isn't. TTPD was called a lifeline and music she needed to make -> very apparent in the album. Midnights was described as "an effort for those who toss and turn to keep lanterns lit" -> check. folklore and evermore didn't have much since they were surprised released. Lover was a "love letter to love, in all of its maddening, passionate, exciting, enchanting, horrific, tragic, wonderful glory" -> check. Reputation was described as an hidden love story amidst the chaos -> check. We can go on but you get the idea. There's always things to nitpick in the way she talks about her albums, but the result is never so far off of the original promise. I don't see how that relates to me not even looking forward to TS13 though. Unless you think that one fail in the way she sees and describes her album means she has lost touch with reality, which I don't. Do you?
  10. If Wood or Eldest Daughter made it onto TLOAS, I have a hard time believing there was anything left out worth being reworked in the first place. If we are going for a Showgirl deluxe it better be entirely new material, and it better not be a Showgirl deluxe in the first place.
  11. I mean... unless the songs actually live up to the description she herself gave back in August 2025. Behind the scenes and precision of 1989 with the writing of folklore. If Showgirl part 1 was instead Lover part 2, make Showgirl part 2 be about how her career has affected the fostering of her relationship(s) (which is lowkey Reputation part 2 if you really think about it).
  12. What about evermore (the long pond studio session) (deluxe)?
  13. Honestly, I'd be surprised if it was anything Showgirl related considering she's been dead silent on it in the Grammy interview and instead talked about loving her roots more + her efforts to appeal to country radio. I'd also prefer it if we left Showgirl in the past, personally. If it's Showgirl-related though, the songs better be Ophelia/Ruin The Friendship level because we really don't need another Eldest Daughter or Wood.
  14. And there I was thinking country radio were in their "we love her again" era. These drops are crazy
  15. The way Mariah is making a quick apparence every year in December is cracking me up. Favorite part of the video.
