Maybe I'm just too distant from the old Gen that likes this type of stuff, but singing about "oh, don't comment on what I say, I'm free to do what I want, I don't want your words, bring your love" is a nothing burger. And if this is what you like, there are more elegant ways to write about it.

The song is a nothing burger. It says nothing, it sounds dated, Sabrina adds nothing to the song as well. If you're gonna add Sabrina to a song, at least try to make her sound like herself. Confessions II is probably the best album of this year, but having this song as the lead single was the wrong choice.
