  1. Its incredible how quickly moderates crumble when asked to defend themselves. Meanwhile some of us actually want a better world for everyone.
  2. Only 2.8 million people live in the state of San Luis Potosí, as opposed to the 17 million that live in the state of Rio De Janeiro.
  3. The fact that you can't acknowledge how complacency in the face of Fascism is not going to help anyone.
  4. Well Vance isn't running for anything. But my take as an, anti-Zionist is as long as you are not a bloothirsty Zionist who gets off on bombing brown children like Biden or Schumer, do what you need to do to win the general. If McMarrow, won in Michigan for example, I would have been ok with her taking AIPAC money so long as her voting record still shows she wants conditions on aid.
  5. We tried this strategy in 2020 and currently have a worse fascist regime. Can you make an argument for me about how Trump's second term is beneficial for the disadvantaged people you are talking about?
  6. Make yourself the best version of yourself, whatever that entails. Ultimately confidence, charisma, and just being an interesting person are the most important things. You could be a very conventionally attractive guy that people want to date, but that will not mean either of you will have a connection.
  7. Americans: the cost of living is far too expensive Democrats: We refuse to do anything about that. The best we can offer is allowing trans people to be ICE agents.
  8. Wasn't it basically her college thesis? It gets more attention than my undergrad thesis.
  9. I would not get too excited yet. Talarico is still not polling above 50%. The "undecided" voters in each poll will eventually pick a candidate, and that will decide the election.
  10. This makes no sense. I am a big Celine Dion fan...this has done absolutely nothing to educate me about Canada's history with Indigenous groups.
  11. Who else has dominated like her 31 years into her career? And what is even more incredible is she has had hits throughout her career. This year was not a massive comeback but a continued trajectory of success.
  12. I feel like the opposite is true more often than not.
  13. Lux is the best pop girl album this decade (so far). Doesn't undermine Karol and her growth as an artist in the slightest.
  14. Can they debut automatic certifications? They are kind of irrelevant because so many certifications are out of date.
  15. It's credited to three parties, the cast, huntrx, and saja boys. Looking at this list, it does not appear that a man also being credited is barring so long as the female artist is also credited.
  16. Isn't the most streamed album of 2025 the K-pop demon hunters soundtrack by Huntrx.
  17. Karol G is releasing an album this week. After her I think Beyonce could come out with a Q4 release.
  18. But that liability is baked into any Democrat running. And ultimately these conversations over tweets are only really happening among the people that follow politics and whose minds are already made up. The 15% of undecided voters are generally not discerning the nuances of candidates
  19. I don't necessarily disagree with your concerns generally. What I see on the ground and from conversations with people is how little that might matter. Wisconsin is a state where ~15% of the population is undecided, and the election will be decided by those people. These people, though, are not politically informed people with moderate opinions in the middle. We are talking about people who might not know about the war in Iran right now. They are more often than not, politically disengaged people with policies more radical than the general voting public. The struggle to win these people is often a struggle to excite them. So overall, I think people might be overestimating how much of a liability Francesca's positions might be and underestimating how much of an asset it could be to pierce through the noise and get people's attention. That said, regardless, Wisconsin is a hard state to win. Any candidate could lose. Barnes has lost in a statewide election. I think a lot of people are underestimating the liabilities that the other candidates bring to a statewide election.
  20. It doesn't have poor longevity, the monsters just overhyped the song. It has the longevity you expect for a moderate hit that didn't even go top 10.
  21. I don't think your pessimism is unfounded. However, I think it's worth noting that there is an appetite for a progressive candidate. Anyone who campaigns as the progressive candidate could be thrust from relative obscurity to a major player very quickly. Especially if Hong and Al-Sayed win, then the narrative that you need a guy like Biden to win the upper Midwest is gone. This is basically to say, depending on how well progressives fare in this election, I find it unlikely that a progressive candidate does not make it to the podium at the first debate.
  22. Biden is Romney in this analogy though. I do feel like the democratic establishment brand is so weak right now that they do not have the ability to push someone like biden again. This doesn't mean we are going to get a progressive, but I feel like the opportunity is at least open.
  23. She lost for the same reason she did not make it to the first primary in 2020. She ultimately stood for nothing and that cannot convince people to vote for you.
  24. I have not seen the interview, but as someone from WI, I kind of disagree with the take on police. First off, I don't think "distancing" herself from prior positions works because (1) she will not be further away than the republican and (2) it makes her seem un trustworthy and unprincipled. The bigger thing is, policing is not really a major issue for most Wisconsinites. By staying consistent with this issue, she builds trust and she gets to set the conversation of this election. If the question is "can she win Wisconsin", I am still not sure. But right now about ~15% of voters are undecided in the state. I think she has a better shot at convincing those people than anyone else at the moment.
