The final part is very good, but I'd enjoyed it more if the song fully blown out. WWT remains the superior extract from the album for now

cant wait for Friday

I'm liking it, good choice for an intro track too.

The whole era is really interesting to me because it feels messy and almost "DIY" in a way that is so unlike her in my mind, she's always seemed like a perfectionist that was very particular about every component of what she was creating, whereas this feels more free and spontaneous than she's ever been which is why I think it is so polarizing.

I'm blaming the producer. Lorde's pen is still strong.

It's the opposite. This has the same problem as Solar Power: weak melodies and lyrics. At least in Solar Power the lyrics were attempting to be about something. In the case of this song and Man of the Year, they allude to many different things but are really about nothing.

Oh the video is a gag I love the net scenes, easily one of her best

I remember an interview once, long ago, where she said she was inspired by Quentin Tarantino, who said he would make 10 movies, all different and then retire. She said she felt the same way about her albums, and implied (from my recollection) that she was targeting 10 albums.

She said in recent interviews and social media, she wanted this one to be more immediate and was placing less importance of having everything polished and perfected.

Like the song and video. But since when are you allowed to show nipple on YouTube? :chick1: She's gonna get a strike on her account.
