  1. There is no such thing.
  2. Thoughts on the new album by MILEY formerly known as (but somehow also still known as) Miley Cyrus? Have you been bass persuaded?
  3. Yes up until then he seemed to care about good songwriting but it feels like he's just... given up on that. And it's quite sad how many gay artists seem to think embracing their gayness means they must sacrifice depth in their music. I don't know why but it seems like a real struggle to balance "fun" with actually having something to say. George Michael didn't die for this.
  4. Poor guy. I've followed him since the start of his career and it seems clear to me that despite posturing as bold, this song (and video) are the result of Troye being insecure about what he brings to the table as an artist. He has zero confidence in himself as a vocalist (which is why he won't even try to improve). He has no faith in himself as a songwriter (which is why he won't write anything, not even his features, without Leland). So he's decided what he has to offer in the form of artistry is this forced edgy provocative persona. Or maybe I'm wrong and it's genuine and all this is from his heart. Idk. But I'm just not buying it.
  5. This is CRAZY She can probably eat off this song for the rest of her life. Glad that she has the security but her label really needs to get up and push her new music. It's like they expect the success of this song to automatically transfer to the rest of her catalog so they're being lazy.
  6. Mismanagement. They should have pushed more singles from Bird's Eye after Love Me Not blew up. But also, Blue Island was barely promoted. First two songs (Reputation/Bobby) were released unceremoniously earlier in the year. No performances, interviews, podcasts, playlisting or radio. Same thing with the follow-up songs Handle and Saturday Night. Then she does literally one performance of Handle the week of her album release.
  7. What country is that?
  8. Pon De Replay mogs that little girl.
  9. Check her Instagram stories. Maybe, but would be odd considering the venues aren't exactly huge or unrealistic when you compare them to her last tour. Then again, maybe it was too optimistic to tour so soon after the last one? Anyway, hopefully she focuses on pushing the album and something takes off so she's in a better position soon.
  10. Yeah, it's ridiculous. A lot of artists only work with vocal coaches for performance prep. The idea of getting actual training to grow their overall voice and improve their technique seems to never occur to them. Considering how many of them reference Madonna, you'd think that would be one cue they take from her.
  11. He could get better, though. Yeah, he's never going to be able to sing at her level, but he is clearly someone who has decided to work with what little he has, instead of doing his best to improve and increase what he has. He has the resources and the time to commit to real training but apparently doesn't care too much, which is why there's been so little growth from when he first started.
  12. Was she not talking about If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power? There's no way Columbia expected big numbers from her for The Great Impersonator—the writing was already on the wall before they signed her.
  13. Revisionism will always be pathetic.
  14. Normani won.
  15. And how exactly would they do that?
  16. @The Prophecy when will Carly Rae Jepsen? @Supervillain
  17. It's crazy. Will they pay her royalties for the combined streams now?
  18. A Nicki version would definitely be better than what GaGa served.
