I agree that her songwriting feels way more simplistic in these songs thus far, and that's definitely something I can see being pointed out by critics when the album drops, but it doesn't really bother me — personally. And I like that she is trying new things!

This. She is really aiming for immediacy this time, in the pacing and more straightforward lyrics.

 

Hammer is so instant for me. The album could still go anywhere and I am down for the ride. Also, the music video is energetic, lively, and really captures the moment these songs are meant to live in. Best one so far.

Just realised this song doesnt have a chorus, or at least a typical chorus. It's the instrumental + "ah ah hah hahh hahah ah"

The video was wow  but gonna have to Stockholm syndrome myself into liking the song because it's just not hitting like the other two singles sadly
