  1. That's crazy to me This is for Til It Happens To You!
  2. do we have a shot?
  3. I completely forgot about that, maybe it'll come out this year and end up being a transition into the next era, the same way DWAS was for MAYHEM. If it becomes a hit, we'll just call it the lead single retroactively lol
  4. I hope that after MAYHEM's commercial success, she gives herself the freedom to experiment more sonically. We all know she has it in her. I absolutely love the Killah arrangement on MAYHEM Requiem, that's exactly the direction I'd love to hear her explore on the next album. I also hope she announces the next project without releasing a lead single beforehand. and I think a shorter era with less traditional promotion would suit her well. I've become a bit skeptical that we'll get anything by the end of this year, though. At this point, I just hope we get something new sometime next year.
  5. Maybe... I think she's established a ~200k floor in the US, and anything above that is a bonus. This might sound a bit conspiratorial, but I honestly think MAYHEM would've cleared 250k+ if the cover art and variants had been more appealing. Physical sales are so tied to how appealing the packaging looks, and MAYHEM's aesthetic just wasn't as marketable. Give it a cover on the level of Chromatica and I honestly think it moves noticeably more CDs and vinyl.
  6. I stopped deluding myself that she'll come later this year, but I think next year might be it!
  7. the way this is actually true lol I was thinking the exact same thing.
  8. It's a shame that even a random Beyoncรฉ release can chart decently on Apple Music US while a major Gaga release can't. Her US fanbase really dropped the ball. MAYHEM deserved a 300k debut on the Billboard 200 (though 219k was still a solid debut for her).
  9. the way I was so happy with that #15 back then
  10. 143 and everything that surrounded it was a career suicide.
  11. I was right, and yet I got a downvote.
  12. There is a moderate possibility that the song won't make it into the global top 200 tomorrow.
  13. also the instrumental during the "I can feel it on my skin, teardrops on my face, let it wash away my sins" part is absolutely heavenly
  14. I don't agree with the people who say it hasn't aged well. I listened to it the other day and still thought it sounded great. I have a soft spot for this song because it came out at a time when we all really needed it. The release was genuinely iconic, you just had to be there. I honestly believe that if it weren't for everything that was going on back then, this song, and Chromatica as a whole, would've been even bigger than it already is.
