Ed could have said something to clearly indicate his support for the Palestinian people while he was off stage, since that was allegedly the problem with Macklemore, he said "Free Palestine" while he was on a public stage, so the Stadium owners took action. He could even say "Free Palestine" while making it clear it was just his personal opinion that we all have a right to freedom and that he was not preaching to others. But instead of showing his support for Palestine, he comes out with the weakest of both sites statements about how he is "appalled by the conflict between Israel and Palestine," as if there were two powerful states at war and the outcome was still in doubt, and Israel didn't control all the borders and airspace of historic Palestine with one of worlds most modern and most powerful armed forces.
