I think Taylor will keep releasing terrible music for a long time
Taylor's biggest problem (other than her greed and her chart obession) is that her public persona is at war with her biggest strenght as a songwriter. Taylor is known for her personal and diaristic songwriter, that's where she truly shines and that's what has made her build her legacy. However, you can't really go deep into your emotions and struggles when your relationships are public and you want to keep a certain image. Midnights and TLOAS are the best examples of this struggle. Midnights is about a relationship falling apart, but when the album came out either the real relationship wasn't over or she didn't want the public to know yet. That's why the songwriting feels vague and not specific, like she's afraid of digging deep enough. The love songs in TLOAS feel so shallow and disingenuous to the point where it's to believe or even connect with them. We know she wants to keep this perfect couple image so she's obviously not going to make a song about having doubts about the wedding or being afraid of getting her heart broken again. That's why TTPD, while bloated, is beloved by many swifties. Her relationships with Joe and Matty were over and she had nothing left to loose so went all in and wasn't afraid of being messy and vulnerable like she was on albums like Speak Now. I'm not saying she has to lose her privacy or get her heart broken ir order to make good art but she has to find a way to honor your biggest skill.

Olivia: "The best songwriters steal!"
We are witnessing unprecedent levels of psychosis in the swiftie fandom. I have genuineily never seen them this pressed over anyone, not Scotter, Kanye or Kim, Katy, Billie nor Charli XCX.
