This line is so sweet 

Let me keep it cute and say the only song i would rate higher than 5/10 is nirvana on the entire album

She's always had a pretty fragile ego and clung hard to her past success and status so the fact that there's massive backlash during an era that was angled from a "im ready to come back and slay" standpoint, plus the fact that she genuinely doesn't know what to do as an artist only tells me that there's definitely not going to be a quick album next. I doubt she'll do anything music related for the next 5 - 10 years realistically. 

I'm now on Track 5 and while I find most of the tracks catchy, I just don't feel substance in them. Gorgeous kinda sounds like Unholy, then the beat of Crush is like Can't Get You Out of my head by Kylie. It's great to have some inspirations but I don't feel much on these songs. They're great dance tracks though. Also note worthing that crush somehow resembles a bit of the melody of Catch My Breath by Kelly Clarkson in the chorus, but very little only.

 

I will wait for my overall analysis after the full album, but it's how I'm feeling so far.

dr luke's 143 is just so bad. the amount of times she wanted to recreate  ET and Dark Horse with gimme gimme, gorgeous and artificial in this album alone  she doesn't have a single artistic bone in her body help

 

 

artificial needs to be the 4th lead single because its the most interesting song in her career ever and if it flops atleast she would flop with dignity. JID and Doechii's verses saved this turd album

Elsewhere, though, Perry seems to be grasping for ideas. 'Artificial' is really just a rewrite of her grinding 'Teenage Dream' hit 'E.T.', though this time she's singing about a bionic man rather than an alien. "Are you gonna love me like a human? Can you touch me in a simulation?" she asks, sounding as though she's about to road-test a new VR headset.

Nirvana should have been the lead. Tracks 5-8 are the tolerable and best parts of the album. The rest of the album does not cut it, especially the first 4 tracks.

All these haters pretend to hate the album but iktr they are bopping privately in their basement. Ohh Katherine, the power you have to create such earworm album. 
 

All the love is now my favorite song from the album. I hope she will promote this song.

Crush's chorus is kinda addictive but she needs to stop being so lazy and do longer songs with bridges.

All the Long + Nirvana should've have been a 2x1 single because the transition is kinda good then follow up with Wonder for single 2 and drop the album late July/early August.

Delete WW, IMHM and Gorgeous. Lifetime somehow is better than those 3.

I think I'll use only 4 songs.

With that said, I still prefer Smile - it's my kind of album and has so many underrated gems

 

Witness remains her worst album

I like all the love so there's that

I don't mean this to drag her, but how can the same person who released Teenage Dream and Prism be okay with releasing this? 
 

I actually had the highest hopes for this album, but this is one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had with an artist I love(d). There's not a single song on this album I feel and all of the songs feel rush produced and just…cheap. 
I'd rather had an album full of Never Really Over's than this mess. I know y'all will hate on me and that's okay, but this genre is not Katy. At all. 
 

Imo, Katy has one of the best single runs ever until a certain point, but this should've been scrapped. 
 

She has to go back to full on pop bops with big, heavy or catchy instrumentals and melodies or else I see no future for her music. And yes, I know she earned enough money to stop. But if she wants to continue releasing music which people can connect to, this is not the way to go.

This is the most terrible pop album of the year. Or of the last five years.
How did the label approve of this? It's just horrific.

Reminder that it's absolutely VALID to enjoy what you enjoy! 

 

I like most of the songs on here and will gladly listen to them in the gym or when I feel like bopping. Don't let anyone's opinion or dedication to troll lessen that.
