  1. Jameela has always been insufferable I love James Blake but how did he get with her?
  2. And she's gonna make an ig post about "focusing on other ventures" and actually retired this time
  3. Not Sputnik coming for the rescue
  4. I can always trust my good sis with taste
  5. Can the Arianators who are "upset" with this album give up their tour tickets then? I'm in desperate need of UK show tickets
  6. omg something something about that basement
  7. Also this is the critique at the first audition (before the black dress audition) Basically each audition she adapts herself to the critique given at the previous one, but it's always never enough
  8. This is such a wild take. Like I would accept arguments about "no big chorus" or "subdued vocals" or lyricism. But the production is truly the most outstanding aspect of the album lol. Like almost 0 song follows a normal somg structure and there are so many layers and elements in production. Starting with the water reverb effects in htimylm which serves as the baseline for the whole album (as Ari mentions it was the first song written) and how they follow that thread throughout the album in multiple different ways to build this whole soundscape - in "freak", "nowhere nobody" and "kiss me" most notably. I would say some of the tracks are overproduced but saying it's forgettable is kinda... wild Trying out new sound is not "artist grow" then what is it?
  9. People keep quoting #that scene as if it's not done on purpose This is the critique she had after that black outfit interview Then in the next scene (with the cow dress), she was trying to show her boobs. Then got this critique
  10. More "freak" stanning yassss
  11. The drum & bass beat is such a new soundscape for her. But yeah i wish the melody hits stronger
  12. Nowhere, nobody hits hard at night time
  13. Kinda They have 0 music identity at all Shading Kpop all you want, but each Idol group always has a specific sound/concept they are pursuing. KATSEYE is just throwing out songs that would go viral on TikTok But watch them still get acclaimed for their EP because they are the hot shiny toy right now
  14. Taylor's score should be deducted by 10 because of the automatic 5 star reviews
  15. Time the ultimate truth teller
  16. This is so stupid. In what universe that it's worse than Gracie Abrams and TLOAS??
  17. It's Independent's basement this time not Pitchfork The same reviewer gave TLOAS 80/100
  18. The thing with poptism is critics rarely pan an album anymore. So whenever they do so, people would question "why this album" but not other albums that they praised to heaven.
  19. She said "feminine rage" which is exactly what she did. Ariana has always been a super girlie, rainbow & sunshine kind of girl. She's not like Cardi B or Nicki. And she's not taking it like Olivia or Billie either because she's a mature woman who already went through a divorce. the "rage" displayed in these songs feel very her
  20. This has to be the most stupid take of all time A large majority of Ari's discography was elevated by her vocals. Just because she not having a Celine Dion type of power ballads doesn't mean that she's not utilising her vocals
  21. A lot of ATRLers has their music taste based on whatever Pitchfork says, and this time they were the first to publish their review
  22. Any "freak" slander better watch out cuz I ain't here for your stupid take
  23. Yup I remember vividly people said there were no hit materials on Anti as well
