Seeing my girl in situations like this is always a little bittersweet. I'm happy she's perpetually booked, loved and acknowledged and that she's remained cemented despite her commercial absence but I'm also sad that she's always singing songs that are either old or someone else's. And her voice sounds so much better here than it does in her own recent material... because the song is well written. I remember the Ziwe interview that had Twitter gagging for a couple days and about half of it was this insufferable, ~edgy~, unfunny teenager energy. I can't take her seriously enough to follow any discourse on what she's saying. I think she just says things that she thinks sound feminist without much nuance or any other intention, good or bad, than to get cool points from 14 year olds and get clipped.
