The video is realllllly good and had some great moments but please this lazy ass song this must have been the easiest studio day recording vocals that troye has ever had surely?

I've always been a fan of all his other projects so hoping the rest of the album is more my cup of tea. Saying that, this music does have its own audience so it could definitely be a cute moment for him.

Adore the song. The Music sample works really well & he got the Ian McKellen to do the narration in the video @Dark Miracles !

The video is great too. Excellent choreography (VMA worthy!). Like a yassified Game Of Thrones episode.

The song is....I don't know...so bad? lol I like the production over the "party in..." lines but my gosh what lazy, uninspired writing. It feels like he is trying to do a bit of a Charli impression (I dont really love her music either overall - just not for me).

Im a huge Troye fan and loved his last album. Hoping the rest of the releases are a bit more interesting.

people just don't get it and that's okay. he's giving you indie movie soundtrack dreampop. "She's the Best" song is a fantastic video and a great song.

Whats the purpose of releasing a good music video if the song is straight up garbage.

People will really stan the most vapid, self-absorbed singer-songwriters of all time who are literally only capable of writing about themselves and their relationships but also demand that Troye Sivan encapsulates the entire queer experience and also do activism in a 3 minute dance track. The issue isn't Troye, it's faux-intellectuals thinking they have a right to gatekeep who does and doesn't get to make shallow music. The current cultural obsession with slow conservative music doesn't make you above songs like this, it makes you an npc who can't see anything if it's not messaged to you in a way that's trendy. Even Brat had to rely on the heavy introspective themes to be taken seriously by this crowd despite at its core literally being an album about nothing. There's a whole list of artists including the one he sampled that would be called visionaries for making something equally as grandiose but lacking in depth. The song is fun and fresh and the video is great. He's a community hole and made a song about cruising. Not sure what you all expected from him.

Especially true with how much he's bringing up hypersexuality in the interviews leading up to this album, and how the album explores the good and bad sides of it. He's open about his sex, calling him the community d isn't exactly offensive you spilled.

The beat and the video are insane, i like the Music interpolation too... this would've been such a gag if it was an actual song with verses, a chorus and then the sample. Not him just talking the same thing over and over sounding like a Brat rip-off 2 years too late. A missed opportunity

Asking him to sing a melody and write a verse or 2 over said dance beat is conservative now?
