the video is obviously incredible as expected from him but it means nothing if it doesn't have a good song to back it up. all it needed was a couple of great verses and it would've been enough

Poor guy. I've followed him since the start of his career and it seems clear to me that despite posturing as bold, this song (and video) are the result of Troye being insecure about what he brings to the table as an artist. He has zero confidence in himself as a vocalist (which is why he won't even try to improve). He has no faith in himself as a songwriter (which is why he won't write anything, not even his features, without Leland). So he's decided what he has to offer in the form of artistry is this forced edgy provocative persona.

Or maybe I'm wrong and it's genuine and all this is from his heart. Idk. But I'm just not buying it.

"Party under the bridge" part is so clunky and it's not rhyming at all wtf

It's a fun track. I think I prefer She's The Best. The video was excellent, so much fun and comedy but also actual sexiness.

SUCH a good video and honestly the best he's looked on camera / the most comfortable he's been on camera / the best i've seen him dance imo

as for the song, such a lazy use of an iconic sample and it's sad. he sounded great singing that part so i wish he had used the melody instead and given us some good singing verses. i'm not worried about the album tho he always delivers with his full bodies of work.

i noticed this as well but i think that's just the director's style.

i thought it was cool to see that style dressed up in period clothing. not sure how much longer it will be fresh but today it's fun!

His voice was ******* grating—like fingernails scraping across a chalkboard.

I said after that one Chappell MTV performance that more popstars needed to do medieval aesthetics, so I love that aspect of the video. Great costumes, he looks really good, he's improving with the choreography.

Unfortunately, everything about the song is atrocious. Absolutely no redeeming qualities. Actively bad. He is 0/2 and this is possibly shaping up to be an even worse artistic regression than TSLOP. Gods I hate it here.
