2020s: your album of the decade so far?
People Watching
- Why is "Wait For You" never acknowledged on ATRL?
-
Nelly Furtado - 'Loose (20th Anniversary)'
Move Me was initially my least fave of the demos, but it's definitely growing on me. Still behind I Am and especially Weak though
-
Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
Love Without Words eternally pristine

The most superior Tinashe single... in your opinion.

Needs X All Hands On Deck I have a soft spot for No Drama too because of the Jimmy Fallon performance

Nelly's 'Loose' anniversary edition - a new standard?
Need it on vinyl tho

SHE'S HOT AS A STOVE
Ehm why is the dancer plopping down on the box at the start so funny?
-
Obscure pop lore that's basically been lost to time / forgotten?
Nelly Furtado/Fergie beef, and more specifically an oblivious DJ playing Give It To Me at Fergie's party during that time always takes me out

Nelly Furtado - 'Loose (20th Anniversary)'
That key change on Weak

Nelly Furtado - 'Loose (20th Anniversary)'
IIRC she talked about a song called Gaslight in this interview so I definitely think it's a 7 outtake, can't be bothered to search the timestamp in this 1 hour interview though Edit: or maybe it was the call her daddy podcast

Nelly Furtado - 'Loose (20th Anniversary)'
I actually quite like SIR Climax, AGT Midlife and Maneater Ritual but I seem to be in the minority. These are improvisational recordings with fairly little replay value and yet for me they succeed in expanding on the OG songs thematically and vocally. AGT Midlife especially has incredible vocal moments. Promiscuous Baddie kinda falls flat though. Now onto the real treats: Weak is SO good. Surprised it was done with Track & Field It's Showtime and Te Busque's child. I Am is great but we already knew that from the old leaks, would love for Nelly to work with Rick Nowels again. I think that song is single-worthy Move Me is very of its time, nice but not my favorite. Te Lo Doy and Gaslight are definitely 7 outtakes, Gaslight being very good. The AGT secret demo with Chris Martin vocals is a cute idea I guess but doesn't really offer much

TBH I'm most excited to hear which version of I Am we're getting on Friday
