From Old Town Road to MONTERO. Lil Nas X (27) brought something unpredictable, bold, and impossible to ignore. But with his absence from the spotlight, do you think he is missed?

No. And he wasn't even needed.

  • back at his peak in 2021, i loved how bold and unapologetic he was as a GAY BLACK MAN… so powerful (and people on here SHOULD want to see someone of that demographic winning, btw!) i loved the way he

He was the first openly gay male to smash with truly gay songs, music videos and performances, so this isn't true. He was very much needed and overdue at the time. I don't really miss him though, he h

Honestly, he was a great personality/pop star. But he doesn't have talent, so it will be hard for him to come back

i always found him not that great beyond the hits but i think he's missed as a personality and a provocateur, it's a safer pop landscape without him

I just saw a few weeks ago that he was back on TikTok. Glad that he seems to be doing better.

He had some really good bops. Panini and Montero are still aging like fine wineclap3

but to answer the topic. I don't really think anybody is missing him. The straights or the gays rip

He brought some firey energy pop hasnt had in a very long time im happy hes doing well though

He's cute and talented, but I don't think he has anything to say that hasn't already been said. He doesn't seem very deep, at least artistically.

I'm sorry but no. It was very obvious his career was never gonna last... it was actually surprising when his debut album actually did well.

i loved the way he infuriated conservative America post-COVID. he had the Trumpies and evangelicals angry, and i loved it!

i'm not sure where things went off track, but maybe stepping back was for the best.. he didn't seem to have the support system to handle the industry. i'm personally not exactly thirsting for new music, but i can acknowledge he did something extraordinary with his life.

He's over because there's nothing of substance to him. His thing got tired fast.

He needs to lock in, and come back with something passionate and inspired.

When you are black and gay you need to be extra talented to last, which he doesn't have. Will still check out future releases though, HOTBOX was fun!

I think he's talentless and a bit too messy at times but it's always good to have gay representation in the mainstream, especially in rap, and being so successful like he used to be

I always found his music to be verrrrry hit or miss. Like his hits were so much fun but some of the rest were the worst flaming garbage. J-Christ was atrocious, and the holiday song, and so many others were just so terrible. But I do miss his presence in the scene, I hope he comes back with the right head space and great energy again.

I wouldn't say he's missed. A lot of 2019-2021 artists have fallen off or have become less relevant in the post COVID years and it isn't surprising that he fell into that category. There was never really an actual narrative to follow with his career either.

I will say Hotbox is cutesy though.
