Thoughts on "Cockiness (Love It)" by Rihanna?
i like it, one of the better ones on TtT that doesn't just rely on rihanna carrying it, there's some trash on that record that only she could save
- Is Miley's worst era upon us?

Millennial MPGs and their most-streamed songs - rank from best to worst.
i think what stands out here is that none of these girls have brought their brightest and best songs to this fight, tasteless GP i fear

International Björks rate [line up reveal]
yeah, she's got a lot of "that's a great song" but i really do get bored with her over time, i think the first album is the closest she ever came to doing something really good and people were saying "promising! let's see what else she can do!" back then (which was, nothing lol)

Mariah Carey
music box in the charity shop again but never emotions, this is why the world has to change
- As time passes by, Renaissance is becoming Beyonce's best aged album. Agreed?
- PinkPantheress has yet to top Capable Of Love. Agree?

What's the most you've spent on a vinyl record?
probably about £26? i don't remember going much higher than that, i'm really just not going to spend huge amounts of money on these things, i'll just buy the cd or not bother if its even £30 plus (or wait for the sales anyway)

What would a modern Britney Spears album look like… realistically?
i think if you look at glory, then that was a way of having a more personal take on the sound of the moment and i guess her way of doing that now might be to lean into things like slayyyter and brat? like, that's the stuff that's been around over the last couple of years that fits her vibe and draws on things like the blackout era. this may ofc be wishful thinking tho lmao but i guess it's hard to conceptualise because the hot 100 feels very resistant to britney style pop music these days, she feels like more of a presence in how we think about pop in the uk
- How many times did you play "August" this August, 2026?

Do you shade your own faves?
i'm capable of being objective about them but i'm not weirdly mean about them, i do feel like a lot of stans don't really like the girls they supposedly stan, like, at all lol

R&B/Soul Discussion
they're picking songs to make me mad in there, like if there's a ginuwine pick it should be pony, if there's a janet pick it should be, like, rhythm nation or something, i know about brandy and i still don't know what the hell this brandy pick is, it doesn't have to be a cliche but there's nothing wrong with being at least reasonably predictable! like, why are they digging songs out of the back half of never say never! smdh

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Peru Anglo Airplay (Monitor Latino)[126] 4 ariana the peruvian airplay queen that you are!
- Is this the best MPG album track?

How would you define an "albums artist" from a singles artist in the streaming era?
i think this is more difficult to define than something purely based on sales/streams quantitywise cos, like, look at the big alt girls like phoebe bridgers, clairo, mitski, are they not album artists? they're definitely not singles artists and they're not clearing, idk 3 billion streams or anything like that but they're still big cultural players so the bar would have to be much lower on that threshold, idk how i'd work it up percentage wise tho cos quantity has to come into it somewhere otherwise no one's going to very interested in what they are or aren't

Gracie Abrams - 'Daughter from Hell'
that run through the second half from sober to what if it's right is amazing got a tape/cd set with this sleeve, i really wish she'd done this as the main one, it's the only one that's at all presentable, like who signs off on her artwork ffs
-
Has Ariana Grande quietly become a legacy act?
she might be past peak but she literally had the #1 song on the global 200 for three weeks this year, it's hardly giving cher

THINK LATER still Tate's biggest album. Why?
i mean greedy is the answer to this, it's a phenomenon on its own, SCTW has more consistent ongoing streams and is the better record overall
