i'm v pro taylor but this is obviously flowers. idk if it's just that it's the big moment of miley's later career while taylor's recent success is still so all encompassing but also, flowers feels like one of those songs that a large chunk of the population at large could actually name and there's not many of those around at all any more

yeah i haven't heard any of this stuff on radio 1, they're on the r2 playlist but that's always been a graveyard for stars of the 10s i think we have to say that, regardless of quality (and i wouldn't know), their career as a chart star looks pretty cooked now

kelis and kelly i know a bit but i haven't gone so deep with them before. kelis i think is the bigger catalogue to go thru but i only really know kaleidoscope and tasty well, i think wanderland and flesh tone are things i need to listen to more, they're the ones i see people talking about ms kelly i thought was actually a pretty strong album which surprised me but i didn't like the first one and i kind of let it be after that, i'll look into talk a good game tho

90s/00s rnb is something i only really got to not that long since and brandy is a catalogue that i've been going thru over the past year or so, never say never and afrodisiac esp, but debut and full moon are pretty good too ciara is another one, esp goodies and s/t but i like the evolution and basic instinct too

i''m not a massive prince fan but i think it's received wisdom that the run from dirty mind to lovesexy (esp 1999, purple rain and sign o the times) is the best era, diamonds and pearls and lovesymbol are pretty good as well tho, after that he really starts churning stuff out and it's a bit much
