Encore should've been up against 1432, would make more sense to put the two "deluxe" versions against each other. Either way, as bad as TSLOP is, 143 and 1432 are worse.

I understand what you're saying, but increasing quantity does not ensure quality. Her latest album is showing that more than ever. The album before that was a big bloated whale of music. The quality control, probably since Midnights, is slipping. And what you're describing, "something for everybody" reads to me as "lowest common denominator". That's why she gets such a rep as the "McDonald's of pop". It feels like she's just saturating the market with her product, and variants of her product, and rerecordings of her product, to stimulate the numbers. Also, "TLDR" makes for a great nickname for TTPD. OT: I'd be game to see what this would do to the stan-scape. Could be very intriguing! There'll be other stats to bicker over, no doubt.

Maybe she should try just LISTENING instead of singing. She might actually get inspired to make something great for a change. But give it a few years at least. We are tired.

Miley's album is ok, just a little boring is all. 143 has no redeeming qualities. 😬 I do believe it will hold its position as the standard of outright bombing. All other flops will have to compare to 143, and they'll all come out above it.

People are hungry for some Beyonce from back when she was… not Cowboy Carter, I guess. But any way you slice it, Stupid Love is not by any means beloved or revered by the GP or even Gaga's own fans, so it's kind of a weird song to go up against. Kind of a gimme, no?

Her Cruella hair during the Judas era was my favourite aesthetic of hers. My least favourite is when her eyebrows are freshly bleached. She looks like an alien. The only time I've enjoyed her bleached eyebrows was during the MAYHEM era because it was paired with black hair, and maybe one other time when she went to some fashion show looking like a better version of Yoland* V*sser. I think that's the time she upstaged N*ck* M*naj, which makes it even better.

Chapter 1 was definitely better! But I've been getting into a few tracks from Ch 2, mostly Don't Answer the Door, All the Vilest Things, and None of the Suns. I've basically SCRATCHED a few tracks from my library (Front Towards Enemy, The Arsonist, and the new track You Can't Die Young) which I would have never considered doing for Ch 1, which I love front to back, up and down 😂

Why does she have to commit to one? She has managed to make the music she likes to make, which is more rah-rah stuff that her fans like, with mild success, and also put out ballads for the GP that they enjoy. She's been doing this for a hot minute now, why does she have to commit to one side or the other now?

I don't understand what was so iconic about Britney coming out with a snake. I haven't watched it in a while cause I don't even like that song very much, but am I missing something? Gaga bleeding to death on stage while singing Paparazzi was such a craaaazy moment, just absolutely stunning.

I like hearing that little bit of sing-talking / rapping style Gaga would use back then, but Garden of Eden had so much potential to be a full blown hit if she'd released it before Coachella. It's honestly in the top 3 of MAYHEM with the first two tracks. Great song, tho I am so bored of this "reheated nachos" narrative.

I fully agree with this. She is GAGA, that is what she is known for (Poker Face, Bad Romance, Judas, Abracadabra), that is what her fans want from her, even when it's her more LADY-esque, AC-friendly ballad-y songs (Shallow, ARUTW, DWAS) that take off with the GP. She needs to maintain BOTH to keep relevant, and she definitely knows how to walk that line with STYLE.

I don't think Miley is a legend yet, I think she's still kinda struggling to find her place in the popscape, but I will definitely applaud her for trying different things to make it. She brings something to the table, but it's never anything super unique or outstanding.

It gives me Madonna Confessions II with the distorted drunk vocals, but better. I hope it takes off, honestly, I want another fun ballsy Miley era.

I like Miley's music a lot, even when it flops a bit like her last album. I also like Katy's music, mostly her (s)old catalogue, not so much her new stuff. I hope Miley's new album deliverssss. If Miley flops harder than 143 with this, I can't imagine how insufferable Kats Rats will become (and they're already too much).

There has been decades of propaganda at this point that has forced this idea that Beyonce is a goddess among us, so of course people would want to see it in person. That does not necessarily translate into streams when you realize it's not necessarily the case. But also, she puts a ton of effort into her performances, more than a lot of today's and yesterday's performers. I'm not a huge Beyonce fan (I like a few tracks from each album) but I know seeing her in person would be an event, because that's where she shines.
