Yes. That's a better way to explain it. The syndrome hit Coldplay a little later so they have a few more albums that are considered classics.

Maroon 5: What went wrong?
There was a time, during their first and second album they were seen as a respectable band. People actually saw their music as good quality. Especially from "Songs About Jane". However, with their third album they switched to radio fodder. Music you hear at company parties, malls, and family friendly establishments. What are you even talking about? There is a whole legal battle with video games to keep them preserved. Stop Killing GamesStop Killing Games — They Kill Games. We Fight Back.Publishers are permanently destroying the video games you paid for. Join a global coalition of 2M+ supporters demanding legislation to protect consumer rights and preserve games.Over 1 million people signed a petition in Europe in support of this initiative. Right now, some games require servers to remain playable. Once support is cut, the game is removed. EA and Ubisoft have both done this exact thing. They removed games from sale. There's also a reason why there's a push to remove DRM from games so you don't need a license to play the game.
