Do you find it hard to cry? As in, the actual act of shedding a tear. Is that hard for your body to do?

Or are you someone who cries fairly easily?

What is something that can get you crying?

If it is hard for you to, do you wish it wasn't?

Yes... not to turn this into a therapy session but I find that crying somehow helps me feel less depressed, but it's just so hard for me to cry. I wish it was easier since it helps me regulate my emotions.

It's difficult for me cry in front of people, but when alone, I can give the Oscar performance of a lifetime :gaycat6:

Only the rare moments when I'm getting [redacted]

I tend to cry at mildly sad moments in films/books even when it's not really warranted, so it comes easily.

These days yes. I used to cry all the time over tiny issues but now because I've been hurt and betrayed so much I honestly just numb even when family dies I won't cry anymore and when I do I'm really at breaking point but it's normally course by my bpd not emotions

No, tbh sometimes even just an emotional part of a movie/book/song etc can be enough to stir it up. I remember when I was a little kid my mom loved playing this song Baby Girl by Sugarland that I'd tear up to because I thought it was so nice how everything worked out in the end :gaycat6:

not at all, i am a very emotional person and music that moves me makes me tear up constantly

Not really. It was harder for me to cry when I was younger because it was frowned upon for a man to cry

I'm not much of a cryer. In the last 10 years I've cried maybe twice, when family members have died

I cry so easily because of movies or a sad song, but quite rarely other than that nowadays

When it comes to my real life yeah, I almost never do. It takes a lot for me to get to the point, and if I do it's more of a quick teary eye rather than actual tears.

But I can get teary eyed during a show or movie much easier, weirdly enough.

I did when I was on my anti-depressant medication. It made me feel like a Zombieboy (from Lady Gaga's upcoming album, Mayhem. Pre-order now)

But now I'm off them I'm crying every 5 minutes

i watch really sad YouTube videos whenever i want to cry. like that video of the woman who found out her son died while driving a car.
