This is good news because he's one of the only male artists in the mainstream today who actually puts effort into his album concepts and is capable of massive global stadium tours. After Hours, Dawn FM and Hurry Up Tomorrow are all great albums. Also, I don't think he was ever planning to retire from music, just drop the Weeknd name and I guess this means he might be reconsidering if he wants to keep it.

Even putting aside legacy and longevity of the two artists, tracks on Confessions 2 like Fragile or Betrayal remind me why Gaga will never be on Madonna's level creatively. Gaga simply isn't capable of writing stuff like Live to Tell, Oh Father, Power of Goodbye, Masterpiece, Fragile, Betrayel etc.

Yes. They are situated in a different central stage. Artistically the Lux tour is so far beyond most other pop shows I have attended that it's laughable a thread like this even exists to begin with. It's a masterclass in performance art that is carried by the charisma of the performer instead of cheap gimmicks. I legit cried when she performed La Yugular.

Just wanted to pop back in here to remind you clowns how this thread aged like milk. The tour has received universal acclaim from every major publication and been a massive financial success so far. I attended the London show and it was a work of art far beyond anything your favs are even capable of to begin with. The choregraphy in the performance of La Perla alone is utterly stunning. Videos do not do the tour justice in terms of how mindblowing the show is in person. If tasteless gays on ATRL are trying to drag something, you always know it's gonna be an incredible experience.

LMAO the only people who think Showgirl did damage to her reputation are a few terminally online fools but outside of that nobody gives a **** and the album did massive numbers with two number 1 hits. That being said, I think it would be smart for Taylor to take a bit of a break and return with a more focused project designed to please critics. Showgirl is far from her strongest work because of it's inconsistency and uneven lyrics but the first 4 tracks are excellent and clearly show me she's not creatively washed. I think it's important to remember just how busy she's been since the Eras tour kicked off and the fact she's hardly been able to catch her breath these past few years has resulted in her quality control suffering.
